What's new

The sooner they ban ecig advertising the better.

It seems to me that a lot of anti smokers choose to be 'offended' by e-cig advertising not because of the content but because those filthy, low life, degenerate smokers have found a way to circumvent the 'quit or die' commandment and this REALLY pisses off the fervant anti zealots.

Those seeking to ban advertising may end up shooting themselves in the foot though.. it's a generally accepted fact that after the ban on advertising tobacco products was put in place, tobacco companies found that it actually saved them a huge amount of money and with no one company able to advertise, there was no longer any actual need to try and gain an advantage by doing so.

If a ban leaves more cash available for e-cig companies to put into product development then maybe it might not be a bad thing. After all, the spread of vaping has largely come about by word of mouth and curious smokers approaching vapers and asking 'what's that?'.

There appears to be a lot of "Mary Whitehouse" ghosts wandering the planet these days. :(
