Thickening Liquid Issue

Hiya all... I've been buying CoolVape's Strawberry liquid for around 2 months (i luv it) and the last 3 weeks I've had issues with the liquid starts to turn so thick (goes dark in the tank) that it blocks the atomiser. I have the X8 tank and even starting a new received batch (should cancel out that it's gone off) with a new atomizer (cancels out contaminating 2 batches of liquid) it still goes thick after filling the tank around 5-8 times.

I've ran out of Strawberry in the past and used CoolVape's Manderin flavour (using a different X8) and have never had an issue.

The only other variable i can think of is i've stopped using a squeezy bottle with a needle on top coz it was leeking out of the threads when squeezing and wasting liquid, so i bought a syringe and thicker needle which is great. It got me thinking that maybe the small amount of liquid left in the needle or syringe is "going off" when being left for 24hrs between refills contaminating the liquid when refilling?

Any idea's greatly appreciated, i love this liquid but it's getting costly in atomisers.

Croeso i'r Blaned

Is this a carto tank? I'm afraid I've no direct experience of those.

It may just be that the carto is heating up all the juice which is causing it to thicken, that could be juice dependent I suppose. Refilling from a syringe and leaving some in the needle should be fine, especially if you have the protective cap on, I do that regularly with a couple of liquids and never had a problem, although again that could be juice dependent.

My only suggestion would be that you try partially filling the tank each time, say to 1/3 full and see how that goes.

e-liquid is definitely not supposed to go thick.

I'd stop vaping it and get in touch with the vendor. It's an issue with the juice not the atomiser.

ejuice don't really go off that quick.. 3 weeks and its just about steeped properly and any longer is a bonus

E liquid will go a bit thicker when its kept in a cold/cool place. I've had this when I've left my juice bottle or mods out on the window sill.

When used in a cartomoser tank, juice will get slightly thicker, and darken, as it is used. This is down to physics. The water molecules in the juice travel a lot faster than the VG/pg molecules and will be vapourised at a very very slightly higher rate than the rest of the ingredients (simply because they get there first in the molecule race), leading to a slight darkening and thickening of the remainder which is gradually and ever so slightly, becoming more concentrated.
Another thing with a cartomiser tank is that carbon and crud builds up on the embedded coil with time, and can, in turn, restrict air-flow and give the impression that 'the juice is too thick.

Thanks for the comments all, the general consensus is to migrate to another liquid which does seam the logical option because it didn't used to be like this, which suggests the vendor has changed the ingredients.

I'm pro-active in taking care of my gear; new atomiser when receive new batch, wash tank, clean mod threads and contact area of mod and top up the top of carto and blow through to prevent drying out atomiser; after each refill.

Sweet, a new liquid it is then :)
