Try an MVP it has a massive battery and lasts days when charged. Also i would suggest a high VG juice, it is gentle and good on throat and chest.

I have no idea what I am vaping atm regards to ratio its all from MrKraken and I don't believe it states what the PG/VG is, I am smoking Squid Ink atm on the last of it as my EVOD has suffered major leakage and lost 2/3rds of the last 3 tanks . I have since managed to sort of fix the tank and slowed leakage right down

As for the throat hit don't try and vape like you smoke. I was always told vaping is long slow draws, not suck the crap out of it like a cigarette. If you suck to hard when vaping the wick can't keep up so you'll get a dry harsh hit as the coil is heating nothing but air.

That is unusual. If anything Evods are more mellow than other tanks. Muted flavour and quite a smooth vape.
Don't remove the second wick. It will cause flooding and leaking.
I am wondering about the juice. Some of them are quite scratchy on the throat. But again, I use my rougher ones in Evods for that reason.
I have a feeling you accidentally burned the flavour wick. The original Kanger seems to be a cotton mix, I managed to singe one badly before I learned to dry burn without it in place.
Look on YouTube how to rebuild them. Not for actually doing that, but to see how they work. You can open it up, remove the flavour wick (usually loose strands), dry burn with the other wick in place, rinse the coil and try to wash the strands in a glass of water. Then put all back together. Worked for me. I managed to make one head last 3 weeks. Until the coil broke.

But I dont like the Evod much it seems to mellow the flavours way too much, is there a tank out there which will give me a good flavour?

As they look very similar to the CE4 starter kit I got and well tbh I think that was rubbish.

They may look similar but are a world away in terms of flavour and vape. I still use them now
