Tips for using stainless wire?

I got a spool of SS wire to play with recently and I'm not sure of the best practices to get optimal performance from it.
Should I make spaced coils only or can I make contact coils?
I've tried a couple of different builds but I seem to get a bad burnt taste at random.
Used it best in my TFV4 on the single coil rba as a TC coil. (Spaced 6 wrap @ 3mm)
Went to it the next day and it just burnt on me. I'd had a couple of tanks worth of juice through it with no issues the day before.

I've been using as minimal power as possible so thought I should ask you lot!!

Peace

I use exactly the same as kanthal, 317l 24g contact coil, 7 wrap's strummed, pinched and nudged, whatever you want to do lol that's the build I've got running in everything now whether it's tc or wattage.

I thought that at first, but when I've removed the build the wick was showing no sign of discolouration. My best guess is that the juice touching the wire had the sugars burn.
I know that SS has a lower resistance and ramp up. So maybe I'm over saturating my wicks on new builds?
I tend to do the "Scottish roll" wicking as I've not had dry hits from other builds using it.

I'll crack it I'm sure, thanks!

Which wire and TC mod you using? There could be a miss match between the algorithm and TCR of the wire.

Possibly it was on my SMOK X cube 2 it's possible I'd knocked the coefficient setting out by accident, I've since re set it but couldn't tell you what it was set to on the hit from hell..

I found it on amazon.
This is what they're calling it. But it's 317L in the spec sheet.
