No theres been pubs up and down country shown in the news shown to be floughting it. It's been on most local and national news programmes.

Same with pubs, they haven't said they are they've said it's being considered as an option in England for when the schools reopen in September.

Got any links to these supposed news reports, cause I ain't seen any of that ? despite watching BBC 24 hour news, Sky news, BBC local news, and ITV news for about four hours a day.............

Most was on good morning britain and a few others throughout the day yesterday. Like I said it's only at consideration stages just now but it's a possibility. It could just be getting throwing about as an option to put it out there to the ones not doing the right thing to get their act in gear, or as a bit of an eye opener to the idiots who have decided they can just act like they used to before they closed.

Ah, good morning Britain, that's the one where the presenters lounge about on a settee, with a few celebs etc, isn't it ? rather than a proper news channel.

Everyone to their own though, my OH watches Loose Women, and now & again for a laugh I watch Jeremy Vine on channel five.

It's a morning programme mainly focussed on news/covid issues at the moment. It's what I watch when I start work and the issues raised there are as valid as any of your "proper news channels".

Bit like when I used to work in the UK rather than abroad, get to work a few minutes early, and sit in the canteen with a cup of coffee.

But my point is was there a UK government representative on there that said they were considering closing pubs again ?

They haven't went on it since they were shown to be incompetent and unable to answer questions so no there was not one there. You can watch it for yourself but you're probably too good for that judging by your tone.
