Twats!

Posts like this are the reason why you're awesome :2thumbsup:

Cheers, not awesome though, risky maybe though because most people i know live out their life on FB collecting 'friends' & sharing intelligent quotes from great philosophers or messages of enlightenment . I'm the only one here who's down on FB & they think i'm wrong ! My cousin has not spoke to me since i unfriended him over a year ago. Some people actually take it seriously ! I'm just glad that i grew up before the start of the internet revolution, to know life without it is an advantage.

I would not say you are wrong, but like I have said in the past, facebook is in fact a powerfull tool if used correctly. I know several young people who have a thriving business built on the strength of it.

I know, you're right & i'm not really anti FB, just aspects of it.

You know s**t got serious, when you get unfriended on a social networking site lol.

I'm the 'main' age group for Facebook but I actually despise it although over a few months last year it made me about 2k then I got bored lol

I`m not anti Facebook as such.
It certainly has its uses and as @u8myufo says it can be a powerful tool commercially I just feel that, much like Twitter, there`s only about 5% of it`s content that has any value, the rest of it is just inane bullshit.
I don`t care, for example, what you had for lunch!

My other issue with Facebook is they way that its members aren`t the "customers" they are the "product".
The fact that anything you say or upload becomes the property of Facebook to use as they please, no thanks!
FB is just a thinly disguised data-mining operation for the purposes of targeted advertising.

I`m also old enough to remember life before the Internet and social media and, you`re right, that knowledge is an advantage.

Hell I grew up with the development of home computers, starting with a 16k Spectrum.
Kids today don`t know they`re born :grin2:

You had a fucking Spectrum, was you born with a silver spoon in your mouth as well then? I`m quite happy with people shoving shit in front of me to look at and contemplate buying, it saves me having to think about what I want :D

Yep, had a Spectrum but I was only allowed to use it after I`d worked 23 hours a day down t`pit and eaten broken Glass and dead Rats for tea.

It's not a matter of opinion either, just a fact. That said, not every kid today would agree that 'kick the can' is better than the Xbox experience.
