We have read your comments, and we understand people's concerns over what's happened. We are not ignoring the issue, and the last thing we ever wanted was to cause a fall out between some members here at POTV.


As you may know, we have received a limited number of Variants, and we have been considering community-driven ways to enable people get their hands on them. The eBay auction was simply one of those.


At UK Vapefest 2014, we will be auctioning off a Variant for charity, and also matching the amount it pulls in with our own funds. This charity auction was organised with those behind UK Vapefest 2014 a few months ago, and we can assure you this is not simply a response to the drama.


Causing this situation is certainly not what we planned to do. We want to thank those who have emailed in, or contacted us in any way to show their support. We are not as large a corporation as many of you may think we are, and we have a small dedicated team serving to do all we can within the vaping industry.


POTV were the only forum that contacted us directly and allowed us the opportunity to voice our side of the story, this is why POTV posted the statement on our behalf and in light of this, we offered POTV members a 15% discount.


As a business, we understand people will always have and voice their opinions on our practices; however we never wanted to cause a stir in the vaping community. We acknowledge the negativity we have brought upon the community, and we apologise.

Answer this please you say there is 'no rrp'.

There was a topic here months ago before its release stating it had an RRP of $500 or around £300...

You stated there was no RRP when there is infact an RRP, so questions...

1. Why try and decieve us?
2. Are you keeping the profit of THIS item which has been auctioned to generate a stir and a major profit rather than raffle it off at RRP?

As for buying from you im sure a lot of us stand by what we said.

Not causing a problem or anything else, actually genuinely interested for an answer...

*edit* honestly just looking for those niggling questions to be answered as unanswered questions / thoughts are annoying as hell!

This vendor as them listed at £599 so more than likely with us been in the UK where we get ripped off on most things RRP would be £599.

Later, you auction one at a Uk event & promise to match the amount out of you own pocket


Guess what, you will still be quids in, the ebay auction will make much much more than anything at vapefest



Sorry, but vendors flipping goods which are limited stock is just ridiculous.

Imagine the uproar if Game/Tesco or anyone else decided to auction off launch PS4's on ebay rather than selling at RRP as they know supply is limited.

Suggest you find someone else to come up with your marketing ideas

It's a big bad world out there and as far as I can see the only real problem here is over reaction...

They might have been trying to flip it, so f*cking what !!
It's one item and no one was held at gunpoint, if some well heeled gotta have it was happy to pay well over the odds good luck to them as I think the chest beating soapbox owners should mind their own business, take the option not to purchase from the company and use all that energy to go get a life..

Storm in a tea cup, the auction turned in a joke very early on, nothing has been sold and has buzzed around the net like crazy, it made me laugh is all as it was either profiteering shot down in flames or an inside job to get noticed that didn't turn out so well.

Every vendor out there exists to make profit and is run by humans, some of which don't make the best decisions, get over it...

As for those looking to leave POTV... Great idea as I think you could use your forum time to get out more, seems like you need some real world experience and the chance to get something more important going on.

You probably wouldn't notice if everyone left Mate!!! 462 posts in 17 months!!! Nuff said.

The vaping world is changing all the time, and only the best will survive Makers will need to choose the vendors they use more
carefully or suffer by association as for UK ECIG they just went on the list of vendors to warn people about i'm OUT

We can confirm that Vicious Ant have not supplied a RRP for the Variant. Any figures out there are pure speculation. We paid a high cost to receive our supply of these devices. As a business, of course we are looking to turn a profit on items we have paid for.
