Can't overstate the impact @Crewella had on potv and so many of our members. Sadly, she passed away suddenly and unexpectedly towards the end of 2022. She's left a big hole and will always be missed by many here.

Can't believe it's been over a year... time is not what it used to be. I used the cool little torch on my keyring the other day and realised that I got that for Christmas 2022 and couldn't believe I'd got it that long ago.

It's shocking, mate. Time is a crazy thing for sure. Can you believe it's been 4 years since covid became a thing? 7 1/2 years since the Brexit referendum? Hardly seems possible. :S

I would feel the same. I would love to have something of hers as a keepsake.

I know mate... it's really tricky. When my best mate died all his stuff went to his daughter, which is right and proper but there's a few small things there that have a lot of significance to me and have special memories that I would love to have around me.

It has made me start asking my friends though 'If I go, is there anything that is special to you and you would like?' ... it's a bit morbid and people don't like talking about it, but I now have a list of stuff that will go to my friends if anything happens to me. The odd record that they were there at the gig when I bought it, or a picture that I took while we were at a festival, a guitar pedal that I made while we were in a band together... just little things like that, and I want them to have them.

That's not a bad idea actually. And I think it's quite refreshing to be so up front about death. Too many people treading on egg shells.

My mate passed away about 4 years ago.... his wife insisted I take his golf club irons, best thing ever, although they are now about 10years old cos he never got them brand new and without doubt I could change them for better newer tech ones.... that will never happen, don't care how others play with newer gear around me or how I might play better with new ones.... he's with me on the course and the memories make me happy.

That's great.. and the perfect example of what I'm talking about. That's what I want for my friends too.

Well as sad as it may be to talk about those that have been lost, I'm glad people got to talk about old friends and times......while talking about a cheap Chinese atty that's about 7yrs old.
