Yip....same here(but I like anise) I mix HB for a couple of folks n usually throw in a new bottle of something else to try myself with every other order....its defo got an ansie kick....not a full skelp in the coupon ansie like say Decadent Vapours Absinthe (which for me is the gold standard) ... but its predominant on the inhale.....the fruit mix follows well...its well different from HB in the sense of nae bubblegum n less menthol....so it's a different beast entirely, but a refreshing more fruitier change, with a decent anise hit.

Cheers, sounds right up her street. I’ll add a bottle of that next time I order :)

TBH i wouldn't consider the amount of concs i use as that excessive when you consider most folk will bulk out their flavourings with ethol maltol.
I do prefer my juice to smack me up the lip not peck me on the cheek.

Also consider most of the concentrates you use are super strong in the first place i bet we're not that far apart.

But remember that natural flavours plum, that I thought was plenty at 3% and you like at 18 or something, no?

bit of a frankenstien mix...hope its ok made 400ml

vanilla fudge(aristocat) 5%
clotted cream fudge(aristocat) 5%
vanilla cupcake 4%(tfa)
vanilla cupcakeV1(cap) 2%
Peanut butter V1(cap) 5%
Cookie Butter(FW) 2.5%
Cake Batter Dip(FW) 2.5%
French Vanilla(tfa) 2.5%

its a lot i know but the aristocat isnt the strongest(rebranded CCW iirc)

Peanut butter fudge cake?
just remembered i put about 1/8th of a teaspoon of salt in it too

@Simon G I’m puffing this salted caramel at the minute. Mixed at 5%. It has been sitting only since whatever day it was you suggested it. It’s not bad actually, there’s a really nice rich caramel flavour but I notice an after taste, like it leaves a slight harshness on the roof of the mouth. I wonder if that’s supposed to be the salt? It doesn’t taste salty, to me.

No, it's not salty... just a nice caramel. False advertising at it's best. ;)

I suspect that harshness would steep out, it's not something I've noticed but try leaving it a week or two.

or try dropping it down to 4% maybe, I only suggested 5% because you said you couldn't taste it. :D

It tastes nice at 5 other than this harshness it’s causing. I’ll let t sit for a week and try again.

I have a strong urge to add a drop each of rosemary and lavender.

It's weird and I do know exactly what you mean by that roof of the mouth thing... I've had it with other flavours before, oddly maybe, usually after I've eaten something. Then other times not at all, with the same liquid.

Hmm I had my tea not long ago and am now sipping brandy and munching olives while my better half puts the wee man to his bed...

...interesting, try it again after you've finished eating and had a cuppa or a glass of milk to re-balance your mouth. :D
