Unregulated ecab?

Just wanted to ask.....I been reading that ecabs and tecabs are regulated to 3.3v although were using 3.7v 10440 battery's, was wondering how can you unregulated so you get the full 3.7v I can't seem to find any circuitry in the battery housing, the only thing I'm curiouse about it might be in the battery cap as between the spring and housing is a thick plastic hollow cover so might be something in there? Has anyone come across this yet?

Trying to deregulate those batteries will just result in them dying in about a fortnight, they did it because they're so small, if you need more power switch to an EGo Type Battery...
