Firstly let me start with my stance on ecig shops. Generally I avoid them by all means, the real problem with ecigarettes at the moment are dodgy goods and hardware, if I had a pound for every time someone told me "I brought one of the ecigamiggys from the market/gas station/cheap company and they don't work for me" id be rich. Overpricing and bad equipment is what gives us a bad name, and some of these chains, whilst good, are a complete rip off and still don't help the scene. Also consider, I brought a knockoff kangertank once from a chain store in skegness, changed it three times as it was emitting toxic smoke that choked me to death, if someone regularly used this I'm sure it would cause health problems and be in the news.
Now for my review, I always pop in too some of these shops anyway as in every town you can usually find a little gem with a friendly community, I must have spent hours in Skegness in ecigoutlet chatting and asking for recommendations, they wernt the best vendor however it was always a fun visit!
I first found two other retailers, I wont go into detail about them but they weren't so good. Unfortunately the major one right off the high street is the most popular.
Now valley vapes is a little hidden away and I didn't even realize it was there until a guy in the shopping center recommended them!
I went in too see what was what, no intention of buying (I'm usually smart and buy cheaper online).
Spoke to the owner behind the counter and he was very friendly and gave me advice on which dripper I should be looking for, he told me everything I needed to know, the pros and cons and gave me a price. Me being me I looked online and found the advice he gave was exact and covered everything I could find on these forums about it, the price was also only about a fiver cheaper online! I promptly popped back in and brought one (I would rather support local retailers if I like them).
Had never used TC before, he again advised me and offered to make me a build, which unfortunately they got wrong (haha, the other guy built a dual microcoil that clocked in somewhere around 0.03 ohms) but they rectified this straight away. I wouldn't take this as a bad point as they both helped and advised me on how to build with absolutely no benefit to themselves and I learned a lot from these guys.
Over the next few days I popped in and must have spent a few hours chatting and trying various liquids, most of which are fantastic!
Ive yet to come across such a friendly store and meet someone with such thorough knowledge of vaping equipment and liquids, I only wish I lived nearer.
Anyway as a quick summery
Price 8/10 - Whilst its definitely cheaper to buy online, local retailers as honest as this deserve your money! Also consider when buying online or a cheaper retailer they usually offer no guarantee or advice, and you may be buying a cheap clone. If you have no idea what your buying, these guys will be honest and help you find the right kit. If your an expert and know roughly what you want, again these guys will help you
Range 9/10 - The biggest and best brands of equipment are all here, they stock everything including nickel wire which I found impossible to find on the high street. I'm unsure about there eliquids but I think one of the ranges they stock are either made themselves or made by a local supplier, regardless they were excellent. There cheaper range of liquids were also much better than say Hangsen or totally wicked.
Service 10/10 - Think I've said enough here, but the main owner genuinely loves what he does and will give you excellent advice, and everyone I've met in store are always up for a chat or offer advice despite them sometimes being busy.
I know the main owner has an account on here, and hopefully, if your reading you can leave a reply or message me as I have some liquids for you to try!
As another note, I'm not sure if this is in the right place, and this probably wont reach many people, but I think its really important to get the word out about vendors like this. Totally wicked dominate Shrewsbury with their local advertising and location, however this store, once people find it, is usually much busier and I think that speaks for itself. Ideally more first time buyers would go to stores such as this and would be much more likely to quit the cigarettes.
