Hi peeps

Bought myself a new Vamo this week being my first proper devise.

wanted to know your thoughts on the volts and wattage setup. not sure if this is right but if i set the v to 4.1 or over i get a strong burning taste which is also hot if that makes sense.
same with the wattage, if i set that higher than 4.5 it does the same. using RY4 and Kentucky mapplewood in a vivi nova tank with a 2.4ohm resistance.

new to this still so wondered if this is normal or maybe i missing something obvious.

Thanks.

What OHM is your atomiser?

You can test this by holding down the right hand button.

I use both of mine in RMS mode 2 VW and have yet to get a burn.

Burns mean either dry wick/mesh or too high a voltage for the atomiser.

Sounds like the volts are too high for the atty, but a 2.4 should take it, is this just one atty or more than one, suggest you take it down to 3.7 and see if its ok, it may be a faulty atty

Could be that you initially burned it somehow, and so the burnt taste could be sticking and noticeable above a certain level, I had had 1.6ohm attys at 12 watts, and experienced no burning, though vv is a different matter.

i have 2 different tanks holding the 2 different flavours, both have a 2.4 ohm atty, the screen shows it at 2.0.

both tanks are full (ish) but not dry. the burn taste nearly made me yak lol.

using atm at 3.1v and its ok.

3.1v on 2 ohm is 4.8w.
Suspect you may have a dodgy head on the Nova. How does it run on your other battery?
Worth changing heads and seeing if it continues.

changed the head on one of them last night but has not made any difference.
runs the same on either batt. however just put my old carto tank on it with a 1.2 ohm and it quite happily runs at 6v. confused much.

Sounds like a dodgy Nova then. I've hd one which just tastes bad no mater what head is used.

Nova heads can vary so much to what they state on them, I'm always checking resistance on the vamo its like a new hobbie :22:

I had this the another night on a nova - give it a tilt and swirl making sure the wicks are nice and soaked. Might not be getting enough juice to the coil.
