Vamo Woe...

Could be a defective vamo kicking out max voltage and unable to be adjusted ?

Try and hunt down a friend with a multimeter and check the voltage output.

Very much doubt this would be the case... but have you checked the centre pin?

The o ring holding it up can be a little "sensitive" shall we say, and if it's touching the metal instead of the rubber perhaps there's a short happening?

What tank did you put on first mate?

Also, if you press the right button for a few seconds it will tell you the ohms of your atty... what's that coming out at?

I filled the Protank with my favourite juice and toked away with great anticipation. Foul. At seemingly any voltage within the green range of the charts. To add to the foul taste, unsatisfyingly airy draw from the Protank too.

I put my Mini Nova and then Evod on, both of which started to taste similarly horrible.

If you're saying your juice is tasting weird in all your devices then you've maybe got vapers tongue. Sometimes everything I vape tastes the same, from custard via berry through to tobacco. Lots of folks say vaping some sort of menthol helps. I find that laying off the heavy vape works for me. Try just a few draws each time you majorly crave a cig for a few hours (enough for the craving), and see if anything tastes better later on.

Sorry, yes - I think I'm a fairly low power vaper to begin with, plus my favourite juice (or any in my Vamo!) seems to fry at higher power levels.

That's unusual... as almost all of them do.

But if you've tried it in both modes, that really is a puzzler.

Vapemonkey1980 - I think the pin's OK, wouldn't it not work at all if there was a short?
Alan - I think I have got a bit of vapers tongue generally, but with a clean atty my normal juices taste fine with the Ego battery, if a bit dull.

There are only two juices I really like, and it's with both of them! I think there must be a problem with the device, it's just too weird otherwise!

Every vamo I've come across (3 or 4 to date) came in Mode 1 which is the average rather than the RMS

Is that the 'reliable' power mode? I wonder if I'm getting the two mixed up. If so, it is odd that mine didn't. I wonder whether it was a return that they've tried to pass off to me? The flimsy little box it came in did have a ripped flap as though some previously excited vaper had already had a bash at it.....

And just out of curiosity, and I assume I know the answer... Have you tried it in the other power mode to see if it makes a difference?
