Hi,

I'm looking for some advise into purchasing a Vandyvape mesh rda however what's making me dither is that it states in the product description from the retailer (Evolution Vaping) states that it's not suitable for nicotine as I only generally use between 6 to 3 mg would this really make any difference to the way it performs.???

The other thing that concerns me how mush more juice would this use compared to coils plus the longevity of the mesh however the build does appear to be easier...

Any thoughts.:)

This is what they say

"This is a Cloud Chasing sport device, not designed to be used with liquid containing nicotine"

I don't know what their angle is here but do know that this is ridiculous. I'm thinking that this must be their idea, of a way of avoiding applying TPD regulations to this device. If you look a little closer you will see that they say this about all the drippers on their website.

Take no notice.

I haven't tried mesh builds yet but people have said that the Mesh lasts for ages but needs very careful wicking indeed. Not a beginners device. Due to the nature of the surface area of the mesh, I believe it could be built to produce a lot of vapour and hence could use a lot of juice. This part of it is however down to the users preferred power settings and desire for vapour production.

If you are relatively new to RDAs, I would leave this one alone until you have gained more experience with conventional coils and wicking.

One good aspect of the VandyVape mesh RDA is that it can just as easily be used with "normal" wire coils if you don't get on with using the mesh as your heating element. There's another thread on here about this RDA, do a search.
Using mesh as a wick has been around a long time but using mesh instead of a wire coil is fairly novel. There is also the Cthulhu Ceto RDA but that seems difficult to use wire coils in.
I'll be playing around with both in the coming weeks and I'm sure lots of other forum members will too so maybe wait for more reviews and opinions.

Thanks Cliffyboy1962,I think your right .:)

Mannikon please that us know how you get on in the coming weeks.:)

@mannikon
Got mine today, trying out the SSL216 mesh first. The wicking is not straightforward, been getting dry hits, so rewicked.
Been running the SSL216 in temp mode. Finding this rda a totally new ballgame with the mesh.

Saw your photos earlier on, rewicked with fuzion. Is It working well now? Looking at it there seems little room for error in wicking - any juice seeping out the air vents?

The fuzion seems better at pulling the juice up. Jury still out. No seeping of juice though which is a bonus. Been running on TC mode, seems better for not dry hitting.
More to come.

Still getting dry hits, seen a couple of videos showing different techniques. Rather than pulling wick through it could be to fluff the cotton first then actually push it in and pack it that way. That's tomorrow's plan. [emoji3]
