Vape juice turning brown?

Just wondering why the vape juice in my tank is turning a weird colour. I know it could be due to a few reasons but hopefully somebody more knowledgeable can fill me in.
Is it because it is being exposed to oxygen?
Is my coil burnt or gunky?
Im guessing its one of the two, maybe both, anybody know why?

Does it taste ok? It’s usually a sign of sweeteners in the liquid gunking up the coil, and imo the coil (or wick if it’s a rebuildable) will need changing not long after.

It tastes OK but that’s being generous, it’s definitely not the best. Here’s a pic

Coil doesn't actually look in that bad condition, but yeah as Leni said as the juice sits and the coil/cotton darkens it will leach back and start to turn the colour of the juice. Had a Mesh Pro which I forgot about sat for 2 months with liquid in it, found it a few days ago and it was dark red which was odd.

That's the nicotine oxidising and changing colour, it's quite normal.

Even in my case? I don’t use nicotine, I use 70/30 vgpg and 0mg

Something in the flavourings of the juice then, it does happen, more likely with nic though.

Heat, flavouring, metal, cotton.....reactions....it happens, nothing to be worried about

It doesn’t look too bad to me. If you don’t use nic then is it quite a sweet liquid flavour? It’s up to you: if it tastes ok, I usually carry on vaping until I get that first hint of ‘Singed Cotton flavour’
