Vaporesso Revenger Fire button problems

It is at the moment but haven't tested it out and about yet as I don't want to put my Kylin back on it as it leaks a bit so on the off chance it was liquid ingress going to order a zeus dual as I here they are not prone to leaking unlike my Kylin which loves to piss some juice.
Have you heard anything good or bad about the zeus dual with regards to leaks or other issues?

Good that it appears to be working.

The fact you've taken it apart could have 'reset' a dry solder joint, and blowing it out could have got rid of a lump of cack (technical term) - either of which could cause both issues.

Mechanically and electrically I like to consider myself relatively competent - but I'm totally the wrong person to ask about the reputation of tanks :D

I am supposed to be fairly competent after all I am a car mechanic and cars are all circuit boards nowadays anyway but I always hate it when I strip down a part or anything for that matter and can't get an exact answer of what was wrong bugs the absolute crap outta me and also makes it hard to trust the vape in my pocket when I can't find the exact cause..........after all who really wants to have a burning vape mod that close to the crown jewels

IME most guarantees/warranties "offered" by retailers are no more than statutory requirements anyway - you're not getting anything you weren't legally entitled to in the first place.
If the item is faulty or not fit for purpose or not as described, you can claim a refund up to 30 days. After 30 days you can claim repair or replacement up to 6 months - the retailer has one attempt at repair or suitable replacement then you can claim a refund. After six months you could still get a refund minus a deduction for the use you've already had of the item, but it would be very difficult after 6 months to prove that it was faulty when you bought it. You would then probably have to argue on the basis of reasonable wear and tear which would come under fitness for purpose, and that's a fight you'd need to have with the maker not the seller.

So, if a retailer says he's offering you a 30 day money back guarantee and/or a six month failure warranty, he's basically bullshitting you because he's not giving you anything except what the law requires him to give you.

Totally agree other than the battle on wear and tear being between you and the manufacturer by all accounts you have no contract with the manufacturer only with the retailer in regards to consumer law anyway it is up to the retailer to deal with the manufacturer if they bought direct from them or with the wholesaler/importer if bought that way

Well it started self firing again last night sitting with the Clieto and no juice so I am guessing the switch is faulty now I am toying with whether to bother ordering some switches and having a play or just binning it I think the switch is 5mmx5.5/6mm not sure on depth as not sure where they measure from for depth anyone know?

Right I stripped it down again but this time I even stripped the switch should of taken photos but they are fairly simple things it would seem not much to go wrong but I did find a lot of dirt and grime in the switch itself between the contact plates it was very black and grim so cleaned it all out and have reassembled again see if it plays ball will update you all soon hopefully the zeus dual will arrive soon so I can give it a proper test as I don't want to put the Kylin back on there in case it is down to juice getting in
