Very dull taste buds.

I've found that heat plays a part in taste, constantly battering my pallet with hot vapour is a lot like a hot madras or chilli sauce on a chicken sheesh. you don't taste anything else but the chilli once the taste buds are hit with it.
a Bacon sandwich with the finest bacon perfectly fried on lightly toasted tiger bread smothered in Encona scotch bonnet sauce just tastes like the burning of the sauce! same thing with hot vape. Also the food pallet plays a part. If I'm particularly hungry I find the flavour of my vape is enhanced - after eating there is almost nothing there, like my body is saying 'you can desist with the banana cakes now john, that's quite enough thank you'.
then there is 'same old same old' factor. changing from a sharp fruit raspberry vape to a cream cake then to a more 'savoury' flavour like nuts or cinnamon helps keep things fresh. I've found bold flavours work to keep the buds active. like the etiquette with cigars - I feel the connoisseur needs to respect the rules in order to maximise the enjoyment from the consumption.
on that note - I don't begrudge anyone a Winston Churchill... as long as they don't sneer at me out clouding them with the aroma of marshmallows and vanilla!
