Loving my Vamo but interested on the variable wattage, volts feature.
am I right in assuming that upping the wattage / Voltage etc will basically (in laymans terms) burn at a higher temperature , and therefore it is all a question of compromise.
i hear a lot about "sweet pot" and such like.
I am basically vaping at 5 to 6 and obviously have not yet acquired the "nose" to appreciate the aforementioned.
as a matter of interest, what exactly am I looking for apart from "holy shit, that's too much."
it all seems much of muchness at the mo..........

feel free to shout out..." Suck it up noob, your boring us..."

hi murphybarnes....firstly thats a nice TF you have there :)

if you always use a stock ohmed head then keep just upping the wattage a tad and see what point it just doesnt seem to taste right....then back it down...then you have to learn how the ohms makes a difference to your vape :)...dont forget taste is so subjective so what will taste nice to you at say 6 watts will be way to low for others or vice versa....6 is quite low to be fair ;)...but again it depends on the ohm of your coiled head :)

with voltage you have to manually adjust pretty much each time you change atty etc. with wattage you just set it and the device adjusts according to the ohms of whatever is attached so once youve found the sweet spot on wattage you generally have no need to change any other settings. on my zmax i prefer a higher kick ( having used a mech and dripepr for ages ) so i sit at 11 watts on my vv/vw. the only downside is of course more power equals more battery usage, plus depends what ohms your atty is at.
when you consider the latest chips ( DNA 30 ) go up to 30 watts and most current vv/vws are 15 watts its really no biggie to be vaping at 9,10,11 or higher ohms on them and as they have built in protection you dont have much to worry about as long as you are using decent quality batteries

I'm happy enough around 6.5 or 7,theres no wrong or right just what ever your happy with. :-)

Set yourself to VW mode, then turn it up until it tastes crappy / burnt, then back it down a bit at a time. At some point on that trip back down from burnt / crappy you'll get to a point thats not too hot or cold and tastes good - thats the sweet spot! after that it's just a matter of minor fiddling around as some juices need a bit more or less oomph...

ok, a quick synopsis on vv/vw. if your atty is 2.0ohm than add 2 to it then you get 4.0v.(if vaping @ volts) to work out the wattage x the volts by 4 (16) and then divide by 2 (the ohms on the atty ) and you get 8 watts. hope this helps in a roundabout way

I build my coils to about 1.6-1.7 ohms. I vape at 3.5v and at 7.2 watts. Thats my sweet spot :)

Think it depends on the juice as well though. Some juice doesn't taste so good at that.

id second that some juices will burn easier than others i think the middle ground for most is around 7ish to 8 watts but it really is a taste thing and different for everyone. Wattage is a better format as it maintains the wattage regardless of the ohms
