What's new

Wanting to dip my toe into mixing ...

Indeed. We moved with 14 cats, to find that the elderly guy hadn't moved out, so we had to help load his stuff into a completely useless trailer, while our cats sat in their boxes in the open barn. Stressful isn't the word ...

At the moment I'm on 18-20mg. Once I've used up my current stash, I'll try 12mg. When I first started, I bought every flavour under the sun, hated them all bar one, gave about 40 bottles to my friend, and today all of a sudden I'm liking Heisenberg Menthol and even Vanilla Custard. I've probably spent 6 weeks worth of fags money in 2 weeks on vaping stuff ;) But boy am I having fun.

yeah you probably needed 18mg to get you off the 30 a day habit
you seem to got the gist of it etc.....

yeah welcome to a habit that was "supposed to" save you money
juice/tanks/mods - very easy to go nutz trying everything under the sun

yeah Heinsenberg is quite popular, I'm using a DIY RY4/Heisenberg mix
I'm not too fussed about a symphony of flavourings infused into unique blend & taste sensation etc.....
something half decent I can use as my all day vape ( ADV ), considering the dog end baccy smell of fags I smoked for so long

it is all down to you, many love & appreciate an expertly blended juice though
see POTV - there are so many variations of us 'apes on here
whatever floats your boat & keeps you off the fags - that's all that matters

14 cats ??????? - did you have to quit fags coz the Whiskas/Felix bill was getting out of control ???
jeez must cost a bomb with a houseful of cats - but at least you won't have a mouse problem I guess

8 tins of Whiskas and a few pouches a day, plus cat litter, and puppy pads for the old forgetful ones, plus flea drops, wormers etc. Yeah it's expensive. Plus stuff for 7 chickens, and we're about to get goats once we've built the stable and fencing :) Possibly even alpacas if we manage to buy a bit more land.

I definitely fancy having a go at my own mixing but the maths will flummox me for a while until I get my head round it. I figure I'll try all that slowly and decide which flavours I love of the commercial e-liquids first, otherwise I'll go nuts on the internet and end up with a study full of stuff I'll never use. I'm kind of an all or nothing gal - more than a touch of OCD and possibly Aspergers in the mix :) My hubby has learned to just roll his eyes and let me get on with it.

I thought I'd love the citrus ones but they were unholy when I first tried them. I've reserved a pink grapefruit to try at some point.

Thought you said you moved house ????

Sounds more like you moved FARMS :D

We went from a small 3 bed house in London to a smallholding in Kent. Only a small one (one acre), but we're fortunate to have an orchard, outbuildings and barns, greenhouse, polytunnel etc. Some bastards stole all our cherries right off the trees last weekend, which did not please me. I had planned to make cherry brandy and cherry ice cream again. My husband gave up teaching 3 years ago, so he pretends to be a farmer while I sell my soul in the City ;) It's expensive trying to live like a medieval peasant with WiFi.

Whit....your mixing RY4 tobacco with Heisenberg.......Christ man, that's pure mad mental

8.5% max total, 4% Double RY4 TPA & 4% Heisenberg (Vapable)
splash of something else now n then maybe/not hence 0.5%

RY4 is used as a base, Heisenberg sits on top - gives the baccy caramel a kick in the nutz but is actually OK
(had a couple of s/hand tanks tainted with Heisenberg so got used to it & figure it was Heisen - which it was)

as for pure mad mental - yup the cap fits for me I guess

Fair play to ye fella.....it's different, we enjoy what we enjoy:)

So I've seen people talk about testing new mixes by using a dripper to check out a new mixed flavour, before taking the plunge. What would I need for this, instead of using one of my existing tanks and possibly spoiling a new coil if it tastes yuck?

Smallish RDA is the best bet. Stick a premade coil on it, wick it & drip the ejuice on the coil & vape. To swap flavours either vape till the coil is nearly dry (not burning taste) & drip another flavour. Or remove the cotton wick, rinse the deck & rewick & go. Doesn't need to be expensive, a clone from Fasttech will more than suffice, along with a small box of coils & some cotton for wicking.
