maybe you should try and pick up a VV mod or 2 for standbys, if you got the cash ,for times like this when you are learning rebuilding, they so easy just stick in battery and vape....

Coil 1. Nicely done, but not enough wire to reach the posts.
Coil 2. Looks crap, enough wire to reach the posts, fiddling around and my post snapped the wire.

Moving up to 30mm wire now

Hate that with thinner wire when the post screw snaps the kanthal u should be alright with the 30 that's what I mostly use now got a 50metre reel it's a bit of a squeeze getting it through the post holes on a quad but we'll worth it I'm trying like hell to source some titanium wire as I'm led to believe that's even better

Pepper, keep at it kiddo, you will get there in the end, i started doing microcoils and found them really easy.
It may well be worth noting that you should flame the wire first, takes the spring out of the wire and makes it a bit easier to coil, also try and use something smaller than 2mm if you find the resistance too high.
I am using a 1.5mm drill bit and it works a treat every time!
