I'll put my hand up to some top buffoonery here.
So excited was I with the DIY kit I had that I made some test juices but wondered why they wouldn't wick and tastes of petrol and burnt silica. Maybe I need to make more thought I, so I did.
Still the same so I looked into it and it turns out you need to dilute the glycerin, otherwise you end up with thick sludge that won't wick and tastes like petrol. Lesson learnt and off to buy some de-ionised water tomorrow

I've been there before!
So, I just did what I normally do and bodged it, just used boiled water... Worked fine!

Wilkinsons is the cheapest I think. I paid about 98p for a litre :)

I use de-ionised water from halfords. 10% is the norm

There's a proper awesome old school hardware store nearby and they sell it. I saw ranges from 10 - 20% so I'll start off at 10% and see if it's close the the viscosity of the PG

I use 10% and have never had any wicking problems. I think that and the pg base from the flavours makes it perfect. I accicdently went higher once (read the wrong measurement-doh!) and it was way too runny.

Is the VG sold by Nic Vape Diluted or undiluted otherwise I feel like a freakin Idiot?

When you are all saying that you dilute at 10% or whatever, are you diluting the vg at 10% or is it that 10% your juice recipe is actually deionised water?

It's thinning the VG with 10% de-ionised water. So 90% VG and 10% water, otherwise it's just too thick and gloopy, for me at least it is.
After this initial error I buy AG now, much easier
