What device gives low clouds?

Hi everyone,

I'm new to vaping and I'd like a device that produces less/no clouds. What kind of devices do that?

With these device(s) , what do I need to buy to make them work? I'm wary of buying something and then find out I need some other stuff to make it work, or for maintainance, or for parts that are replacable and needed every few weeks or whatever. It is a bit like getting a present on Christmas morning but without the batteries!

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi @Racey and welcome to the planet.

sounds like you need a mouth to lung kit so low wattage, smaller clouds and higher nicotine
now the hard part, which one.
do you want as simple as possible so something like a pod system or a bit bigger like a mod and a tank.

just for examples
these are pods https://www.vapeclub.co.uk/vape-kits/pod-style/

while you wait for replies this is worth bookmarking for future reference POTV Vendors & Recommended E Liquid Suppliers

one question, how many did you smoke and for how long. this will help us work out the nicotine strength you will best to start of with.

for the smaller kits you can charge using the included usb cable so the only outlay will be buying juice and coils. depending on kit and how much you use coils usually last on average of 5-15 days but some can last longer. juice 10ml £1-5 or shortfill 50ml £3-15 + a nicotine shot.
shortfills are best used at 3-6mg nic max so if you wanted stronger you would need to buy the 10ml bottles that go upto 18mg or 20mg for nic salts.

Hi @Racey welcome to the forum. The innokin Klypse is an easy kit to get you started, good flavour no coils to mess about with the pods last two or three weeks, when the flavour diminishes just change the pod. Use a 50/50 eliquid of your choice.

For a few years, and intermittently.

A method of recharging it. Juice and replacement coils. Or replacement pods, prefilled with juice.

There is no such thing as a vape device that doesn't need replacement parts. The coils have a limited lifespan.

im guessing low nic would be best for you then. 3-6mg

i smoked 20-30 a day for 37 years and gave up overnight on 18mg and within 3 weeks had dropped to 3mg and have stuck on that for the last 7 years.

edit

have a look at the uwell caliburn as quite a lot rave about how good they are. there are 5 versions on this page https://www.vapeclub.co.uk/vape-kits/pod-style/ (not sure what the difference is)

a simple pod filled with juice. stick it in the end and vape. when it runs out of juice either refill or just change for a new pod.

what difference does the resistance in the coils make? For the same device I see a variety of coil impedence is available?

Can I get a device that has glass/metal in any place where liquid gets heated? I don't want to breathe in hot plastic, as far as possible. Perhaps that isn't an issue anyway.

mouth to lung = low wattage using high ohm coils like 1.8, 1.6, 1.5, 1.2
the higher the number the tighter the draw and lower the wattage and smaller clouds.
the lower the number the loser the draw with slightly higher wattage and bigger clouds.
most pod kits use under 15watts.

dont worry, plastics dont melt and wont harm you. its only the coil that heats up.

to use a real tank with glass you would need a bigger kit which consists of a mod (the battery) and a screw on tank. the mod is a bit overkill though as it goes upto 80watts as you mention you dont want much cloud so you would only need to use the 1.8 or 1.6 coil both at around 10-14watts.

these are well like by many on here that MTL only

just to add, the lower ohm coils can use thicker vg juice like 70vg. this makes the clouds bigger.
this form of vaping is called sub ohming or direct to lung.

this video explains the diffent styles
