What's new

What do I need to start making my own coils.

Thank you @pneumatus. I've bookmarked steam engine and I had a little play adjusting the parameters. To simple to be true.

@Tubbyengineer, I guess that's where my istickTC60W may come in handy then. Am I correct in thinking that TC modes require lower resistance coil(s)? My apologies for my ignorance, but when I first joined this forum I thought that e-cigs were only available from newsagents. I've come quite a distance since then (3 mods, 4 tanks 2 drippers mixing my own juice etc), but I have a hell of a lot more to learn, hence all my questions. There never seems to be enough hours in the day to learn from you all.
TC requires Ni wire, but dont use Ni wire in watts mode. Theoretically it could get to a temperature to misbehave.

@johnnylager, I'm downloading 3 vape tool apps to my phone, as I type this and I'll check them out shortly.

I think I'm in pretty good company then @Crewella. Rather than replace the Nautilus's I purchased 2 re-buildable decks for them, and a coiling kit, all from Gearbest. Wonder how long they will take to arrive? There may be easier options out there (apparently my Zephyrus is a doddle to make coils for), but if I can master a build on such a fiddly deck, anything else should be a walk in the park. He said crossing his fingers.

I believe that to be true, and it has certainly worked out that way for me! Good luck! :D

They are usually lower resistance. Ni200 is very low resistance wire so the coils are low resistance as a matter of neccesity - even coils of 0.16 Ohms can have 10 or 12 wraps, there are other wires that can be used, NiFe30 or Titanium for example.
Have a look at the Temperature control Sub Forum, theres lot's of info in there...
