What to do with valkarie?

Acquired a valkarie a few months back, 2nd hand, had coils installed which were clean, registering 0.18 ohms on my dovpo topside.

I want to give it a go, but my preference is to squonk, and it doesn't fit on top of either my topside dual or topside sq due to squonk bottle fill cap.
So just been testing it out dripping. On top of my clutch mech mod it takes too long to warm the coils, so I guess I need to be looking at the kind of resistance I like on that mod (and the sq) of about 0.1 to 0.12, but its a fair length of coil in the valkarie the ones in have 10 wraps
Or I need to up the power and get a mech with more batteries (and then do the math to work out a suitable pair of coils)

But then even though the well is massive, I don't really want to drip I want to squonk

And I can't find a multi battery mech squonk, and when I asked on here I got no response

For a variety of reasons I am preferring mechanical now over regulated mods

Fwiw when I put it on the dovpo topside dual, I had to get it to 100watts before I was happy and 120 watts before it started to get too hot for my taste.

Also would be handy to find a mod where the valkarie didn't hang a foot over the side!

Is the valkarie worth this hassle when I am happy with an asgard on the squonk and a steamcrave on the clutch (both with good coils now thanks to this forum)

Do you mean Valhalla? The Valkyrie is an RTA.

As for multi-cell mech mods VaperzCloud themselves make a couple - the Hammer Of God (four cells) and the Saga (dual).

A multi battery mech, won’t help you much either. They are either series so 8.4v or parallel at 4.2v. And sometimes both. But, personally, I’d say you need a regulated mod.
Series will be a good bet. 2x.6 ohm coils should give you all the heat you need. But your batteries will sag, and you won’t be at 8.4v for more then a half dozen tokes.
You’ll also need two top quality 21700, at least, that manage 35ams. So either Samsung 30Ts or the new Molice P45c.

Parallel will let you get to .09 ohms. So theoretically can give you the heat. But, again, not for long.
There are 2p-2s mods like the Hammer of the gods. They take 4 21700s so with T30s or P45Cs configured as two 8.4v 60-70amp batteries connected in parallel to the 510. Needing coils ohming out at over .3 as a twin.

Your problem on the mech is caused by a couple of things.

On a 4.2V mech a 0.18 Ohm build will be pretty tame if you are used to 0.12 Ohm builds.

A pair of 10 wrap coils with a resistance of 0.18 will probably only be getting 75 to 80 watts max on a 4.2V mech once you factor in battery sag/voltage drop - it will take forever to ramp up as pair of massive coils with only around 3.7 volts getting to the coils.

Massive RDAs are great for series mechs as you have lots of space for larger, higher resistance builds but aren't good for 'regular' 4.2V mechs as the build can get lost inside cavernous RDAs.

Sorry bud, you've bought the wrong RDA for the job (it would be a great RDA to use on top of a huge 4SLipo mod, but a poor choice for a 4.2V mech).

I'd stick to 24/25mm RDAs for your particular mech.

If you can live with owning a clone there are still a few 4 x 21700 HOGs on AliExpress for around the £40 mark (the paint quality is atrocious), but avoid the 4 x 18650 versions as the bottom door catches turn nasty pretty quickly and are prone to failure (the paint is also shit lol).

Does the Valhalla even come with a bottom feed 510 pin ? Your kinda goosed if it doesn't
