So I have been vaping for about 2 months now and what I'm currently on is the V1P PCC starter kit from Jacvapur.com. And I haven't touched a cigarette since I got this kit.

This kit works well for me while I'm out and about and at work but the constant battery changing and cartomizer changing is getting a bit old.
I was a pretty heavy smoker for about 11yrs,going through aprox 20 cigarettes a day. So when I decided to go over to vaping I did this only to cut down my smoking expenses.
And as most of you know, vaping had many more positive attributes than just being cheaper. So I'm definitely staying on the "vape train"!
I have been all over this forum trying to get myself more educated on what could potentially be a good upgrade for me. But it's proven hard to find anything that really stands out, I think the first mod I came across was the Provari. Went to the official website and looked at the price and got a little scared. I thought to myself, so much for trying to keep my smoking expenses down. So no provari for me!!yet!
So I guess what I want is a Mod that has a battery that can last most of the day doesn't require too much faffing about to keep it running. And I want a kit that is compatible with other equipment.
Would be great if you guys could help me out.

I know that the Vamo is the in 'thing' at the moment, but part of the reason is its outstanding value for money. It is better featured than the current Provaris.

They are available from lots of suppliers http://www.vapertrain.com/product/vv2k has a kit for less than £50 which includes the Vamo, 2 batteries and a charger plus a Vivi Nova tank. The Vivi Nova tanks are great too - decent flavour and durability and replaceable wicks/atomizers - and also great value.

There's a good video review of the Vamo here:

I have to say that the review is of the Version I - though the key features are the same. The version 2 has chrome buttons, an improved cap spring, improved insulation around the +ve terminal and in Variable Wattage - holds your set values when you change batteries. It is hard to beat on features and value.

Thanks, I have seen ppl talking about this kit on here quite a lot. Will this kit be compatible with a kanger t3?

The Vivi Nova tanks screw straight on. Unfortunately the kanger T3's (which incidentally are the only clearomizers I have ever liked) have an Ego skirt fitting. However one of these adapters will allow you to use them on the Vamo (and /or any mod that doesn't have an Ego skirt thread) http://www.liberty-flights.co.uk/product.asp?id=35 (510 to Ego Adapter). I use my Kangers on the Vamo and they look fine.

Would you say that changing over to this mod will keep my expenses around the same amount? Might be an odd question lol

I can't comment on that. An Ego battery has a life span that is typically 3-6 months in average use. Vaper Train sells the 18350 batteries for the Vamo at £3 each and they should last about the same amount of use - maybe a little longer as they are 900 mah. However... most people find they use higher voltages or wattages when they have a Mod - you get more vapour - much more - if you want it. Cheaper than cigarettes though - whichever way you look at it.

The vamo has what is fast becoming the standard connector the 510 it does work with all 510 connectors & it also works with eGo style Clearomisers like the CE4's & alike the T3 / MT3 seems to be the only one that doesn't work on a lot of eGo compatible mods.

But in my honest opinion for the price, it really can not be beat as it stand in the market today.

(P.S: I would have replied the same even if it wasn't my store being mentioned)

If I may add a little perspective to this, at the current price of ciggies and the rate you smoked at the vamo would pay for itself in 7 days. Even a provari fully loaded would have paid off for itself in just under a month and in both cases if you don't like it you can always stick it in the classifieds. Whilst vaping has a more expensive outlay what ever you buy will pay for itself. I had to buy a packet of ciggies for my OH and nearly had a fit at how much they cost now £8+ for something 1/2 decent!!!! I know you have to factor in liquid too but if you get into DIY then that can easily be just a couple if quid a week :)

With the Vivi nova tanks, would you recommend getting extras? I see you get two heads, but do I need to order more? How long does one usually last? Also, what other tanks/clearos/atomozers would you recommend. what about an CE4?

I reckon it is good to have at the very least, two are three different tanks/clearomizers, just so you can change flavours if you get bored, the good thing though, with vivi novas and kangers, is that you can buy more of the atomizing sections instead of a whole kit each time, which keeps costs down, and you can have a few spare in case your current wick becomes unusable, having said that, they are easy to clean, and if you really got into it down the road, you can rebuild blown coils, cut new wicks and what have you, if you really, really wanted to.

Edit: By the way, I like these little mathulafarquahs, tiny, but flavoursome in delivery: http://www.ivapour-elixir.co.uk/atomisers/clear-cartomisers/g5-clearomizer.html
