Why do I prefer my plus ohm build for subohm

I am vaping a 1.2 ohm coil I made myself direct to lung it is Clapton wire, it pulls just over 5 volts, does anyone know why I prefer this to below subohm , I’ve noticed it stays cooler but beyond that I don’t know why it’s better than subohm, Ive never used this high of resistance for direct to lung vaping so I am confused.

If it's working for you then vape away man.

There are no rules for what you like and everyone has a different preference. I vape 12mg nic salts at 42w and that suits me. Other folk might get sick off of that but I don't.

Resistance isn't the defining aspect of a coil. Low resistance is only really required when using a mechanical mod, as the coil's resistance will determine the power you get. You're using a regulated mod, so you can just turn the power up, or down, to suit your needs, regardless of the coil's resistance.

There's no reason you shouldn't. As long as your mod can provide the voltage you need to get the vape you want then crack on.

I frequently vape MTL with a 0.6 ohm staple coil at 25 Watts. It doesn't get hot or cook juice because I like a loose airflow and like to get my nic fix instantly with a sub two second hit. Still MTL vaping , still a sub ohm build, but I find it satisfying.

I appreciate everyone’s reply , it was an oddity to me I was trying to get my head around, the biggest thing I’ve noticed so far is that even after chain vaping for a few minutes the coil remains unusually coil for the vape it delivers, and here could be the key why i am enjoying it so much, I may unintentionally enjoy a cooler vape without realising

I enjoy a cooler vape, I use sub ohm coils so have to wait between chain vaping, I may bring out the RTA and build a 1.2 in it
