Nope. I've had mine for a few weeks now and no gap. Maybe a slight bit of weeping from the airflow when I fill up but only for a few seconds. I've had excellent perfomance with high VG.

Mine's good with high vg also. I find after the second/third fill i do get an occasional, slight semi-dry hit, but I put that down to wick fatigue. I've noticed the same thing with other attys, the cotton just gums up a little and the wicking becomes inefficient . Just re-wick and off I go again. Unlike coiling the bugger, sticking a fresh wick in is as easy as peas.

I use 90 vg in the serpent and haven't had a dry hit yet, even when chain vaping. I just rest the wicks over the top of the juice channels

I get a gap appearing as well. No idea what's causing it but I just remove the base and squeeze it back together with some pliers. *shrug*

I hated tanks, but now I seem to use them all the time. Serpent and Moonshot are my go to ones atm

Cloud & flavours amazing imo

I found it quite easy to build, others who are seasoned tank users didn't

Prior to the Serpent I used RDAs solely for 2 years. The Moonshots on par with some of my drippers

My serpent arrived yesterday and was so excited to get her going i just chucked in the so called "competition coil" which looks like 2 strands of 28g twisted, wicked her and started to vape producing the most pissy little clouds i have ever produced [emoji23] after half hour i thought to myself f%[k this! ill chuck a proper build in, grabbed some 26g pre-twisted kanthal wire and chucked in 6 wraps of that, although the clouds were better i kept getting dry hits (most likely because the juice wells where full up with cotton [emoji53] my bad lol) and started to get dissolutiond with her, thinking i just wasted 25 nicker on a pile of shit! Surely not, quitting is not an option and got the coil calculator out and got right into the belly of the beast, came up with a build consisting of 8 wraps of 24g twisted ss316 around a 3mm bit reading @ 0.22 and boy does she put out now, no dry hits at all (placing my cotton above juice well and not in it fixed that [emoji3]) big vapour and the flavour ain't too bad ever.

She's not pretty but she's vaping like a beaut. Most definitely the best build ive put on the serpent yet, air flow and flavour is amplified by 3.....
