When I joined the forum there was a certain simplicity to advising new vapers.

It basically involved telling people to forget about the ce4 that the shop sold them and to buy a protank or an evod and stick high nic in it.

The move from those starter clearos was almost as simple buy a kayfun and put it on a vamo if you wanted regulated or put it on a nemisis mech.

It was probably a good time to start vaping. There was enough reasonably priced kit that worked well but not enough choice that the choice was complicated.

I still do. I have a mtl setup for using indoors.

The Endura T18e got me off the smokes back in March last year. Still got it and still use it.

my first vape was ego ce4, quickly followed by a vamo & protank.

I am curently vaping my first atty.
ce4 claimed 1.8ohm coil reading just over 2ohms. On a nemesis for the 510 airflow and using an ego/510 adapter.
High nic juice (boosted uncientifically)

Actually that would do it for me with high enough nic in it, if I had to, that would still keep me off the fags.
I am surprised, it is certainly better than I remember but that could be because I have boosted the nic above the 24mg i used to use and the mech does not do the cut off after x number of seconds that used to piss me off with ego batteries.
I could not build a coil that high in res that vapes that good.

Ce4- a great bit of kit for its time, is my conclusion.

The first advice is to prepare a budget for next months smokes and use that. In most countries that's a ton of cash... for me it's only 60 baht per day (about $2 US).

The Smoant S8 carried me for my first month with a bottle of 30ml50mg nic-salt. Second month brought a bottle of custard shoppe and an order of 10 more pods...

Then an Amnis kit after using 2 of said pods along with some watermelon nicsalt.

Then after being bored with failing pods and coils the Vapefly Galaxies MTL RTA (which also works very very well as stealth/pocket vape on the Amnis battery as long as u carry a powerbank) along with a matching (Matt black) pair of Golisi S26's and Oumier Rudder mod... picked up a roll of SS316L 28Ga.

Now I'm in heaven, can re-wick and swap flavour at will - but in another month or so I'll pick up an extra tank for hot swapping flavours. I miss my Smoant pods giving me a quick swap between cool grape and sweet custard vapes...

57 days in - I'm now stable after reaching about 100 quid over budget (smoant pods/juice after a week and the Amnis mod) it's not increased for over a month. Sourcing juice at less than half the price of nic-salts (but possibly vaping more) should bring that to zero in the next 2 months... Then it's all gravy.

Hate to say it but imI not the only one I'm sure but started on a smok aio...
Lasted me 24 hours then I launched it went for the aleader box killer squonk with a dead rabbit.
That's how I got off the smokes.
Moved on a fair bit since then rhough

CE4 and an Ego then moved up to Evods.

I have several twists, or clones, and an aerotank mini which I adore!

I've got one of those somewhere, haven't tried it yet...is it any good? I haven't yet got a battery for it...i presume it uses a 16350? Fogstar doesn't do those, so dunno where the best place iss to get a decent battery for it.

18350 and 18650 with the optional extension tube. And it was fine if you don’t mind fixed wattage - off the top of my head it was like 12 watts but used it with a nautilus mini and was a major step forward for me
