Hello everyone, my wife has recently bought the aspire Zelos 3 kit and we have put it together as per the instructions but for some unknown reason it tastes burnt a bit like when a coil burns out?
Can anyone advise or even tell us the best settings to put it on as we are not astronauts?
Thanks all in advance!

Hi Damon welcome to the forum.

Iv got the zelos I'm assuming you have the nautalis 3 tank. Which coils/liquid/wattage are the using.

Did you Prime the coil?

Hi we are using the coils that came with it and the liquid is 70/30 and we always fill and leave to stand with a new coil before using it.

The 0.7 coil should be fine, I vape mine around 23watts ish and get a week or so of use before I have to replace it.

Is it happening with multiple coils?

I'm sure the more experienced guys on here will help when they see the thread.

For the 0.7 I'd start low, say 10W and puff it a few times and adjust it up a watt and have a few more puffs, repeat until you get to a wattage that suits. Bear in mind the higher up you go, the quicker it'll burn out.

Hi Damon and welcome to the planet.

It's always worth priming the coil first. Drip liquid on all the cotton around the coil before you put it in the tank. Screw in then fill up. If your using the 0.7 coil then it's best to start at a lower wattage than you are going to vape at. So if your going to vape at say 20watts then start at 10w. You won't get much flavour or cloud but the coil is still heating up and bedding in. Turn up a watt every couple of puffs until you reach your sweet spot. This will prolong the life of the coil. Once it tastes burnt then the only thing to do is dump the coil. You can get duff coils in any box. Worst I ever had was 4 out of 5 were dudds and tasted burnt after an hour.
If you are going to use the 1.8 coil then that is best with 50/50 juice as 70vg will be too thick.

TBH it’s only happened with one coil so will also try another one to make sure and
thank you for your help and will adjust the wattage.
