It doesn't freeze within a household freezer.

To freeze PG / VG you'd need an industrial freezer to around -90C I believe.

It simply helps preserve it being cold

It prolongs the life of the Nic and stops it degrading and effectively going off. You can store pg based Nic for at least ten years +

Yeah, freezer is even better. It won't go solid although it will get nice and thick - makes it last far longer
