10pm drink curfew

In a room full of people it doesn't matter if they sit still or not the air will still circulate and they will all be breathing the same air.
Guess they'll be passing the bed pan round next save people having to get up for a piss.

of course it matters.

on the toilet point, the rumour is the next set of rules will require pubs to close the bogs and insist customers wear a nappy.

@andi52 i suppose it would depend on the layout of the pub as well. definitely couldn’t see it working in many of the pubs i would drink in.

Do you remember when you could smoke in pubs?
Was there anywhere in the pub that you could go to avoid the smoke?
Think of the air people breathe out as smoke and if there in an infected person in the pub it won't matter if they don't go to the bar the air in the pub will still become contaminated.

What exactly is meant by "social mixing", in the context of hospitality, IE; a pub. Surely if you are correctly social distancing, you are not social mixing?

avoid social interaction with anyone outside the group you are with, even if you see other people you know.

Hancock told MPs: “We recommend against all social mixing between people in different households. We will bring in regulations, as we have in the north-east, to prevent in law social mixing between different households in all settings except outdoor public spaces like parks and outdoor hospitality.”

Personally, I think it's lovely that people are helping to include old people in social activities at a time when they would otherwise be feeling exceptionally isolated and unloved.

And this poor addled old chap was all confused about everything. We need to look out for the oldiwonks.
