300 puffs out of one coil?

I’m using a falcon 2 sub ohm, with the stock sector mesh coils. Why are they tasting slightly burnt right around the 300 puff mark. Vapour is still good just the taste is off. If I drag for longer than 4 seconds the burnt taste comes. Vaping at 60 watts, 10/15 watts under recommended.

I spent £100 on this setup I’m starting to regret vaping in the first place, 300 puffs is ridiculous, people online are saying they can get thousands out of a stock coil?

What liquid are you using? It is a big factor in coil life. I have had liquids that can gunk a coil in 10 puffs.

Nova vapes | Banana milk 70/30
Nova vapes | Blue raspberry 70/30

I agree with Toastie. If the liquid contains a lot of sweetener then that can affect the longevity of coils.
Also can you confirm you've primed the coil well before use.

Yes fully primed, all 4 ports and the exposed cotton at the top, I even poke a tiny needle hole into each port

are you priming the coil first and starting at say 25watts then turn up every couple of puffs to bed in the coil.
are you using nic shots and if yes do you add 1(3mg) or 2(6mg) and are they 100vg or 70vg
i totally gave up using 100vg shots and now buy a box of 70vg from darkstar 20 for £13
100vg can sometimes make the final ratio more like 80vg which can be too thick so kill coils quicker.
try vaping at 50w and see if the coils last longer. ive not got the 2 tank but do use the king with tripple coil at 50 watts (rated 80-85w) and get plenty of flavour and cloud. and never believe what the ratings are on the coils as they are just a guide and usually dont live upto running at that wattage.

Yes priming the coil correctly (see above),
Bedding in the coil using a 5w increase every few puffs starting at 10w,
No not currently using Nic shots with my liquid,
It’s sending me loopy it’s make me want to switch to rda

are you adding some plain vg or pg to top upto 60ml. maybe the flavour isa bit too strong so clogging up the coils.
all guess work as not used them coils.

No I just buy the regular 70/30 liquid, and do as I mentioned above but the flavour seriously drops off around 300 puffs, whereas I’m reading of some people getting thousands, not of my coils have surpassed three hundred and that’s using it maybe two days a week
