Hi all,

Sorry if I confused people. Hopefully, this might shed some more light.

So here are some problems I’ve noticed when talking to people about both online and offline vaping.

Offline

Too much choice
Shops can be intimidating for newbies or casual vapers
Requires physically travelling to a vape shop
You don’t know when stock runs out until you make the effort to get there

Online

Some find these site untrustworthy. Whether is the way it looks or works.
Again Too much choice
Some have to order from multiple sites.
Waiting for delivery is a nightmare when you’ve run out.

Now here’s a very high-level view of how I envision Nimbus working at it stands:

  1. The user goes to the Nimbus website and is asked some very basic questions E.g how many coils do you use a month? what're your favourite liquid flavours etc.
  2. Based on your needs, Nimbus then recommends some box options depending on who you are. Customers can either select a box that is pre-made ( box with 4 coils, 80 ml liquid with different flavours, as well as some nice little accessories etc ), tweak an already made box, or choose to build their own. This tackles a few segments of vapers. It could be that new customers might like to be recommended? Less choice might be good? Whereas long-term vapers ( like most of you) will want complete control and know exactly what they. Either way, the options are there.
  3. Now at the moment, the subscription is based on the type of box, the size, what’s in it, the brand of liquid, the extra little add-ons you might want etc. It’s like tiered based ( if that makes sense), you then get your box delivered to your door.
  4. At some point, after your box arrives you’ll get an email where you can edit your next box or subscription. you might want to try different liquids, try another box. They might be themed based on what you like. that’s just an option. Or leave it as it is. Entirely up to you.

I'm certain Nimbus can tackle the above issues people face. Please do crit it, abuse it, suggest ideas. You guys are a big segment and I want to make sure the proposition is right before I pitch.

The reason I shared the website link is that 1) would love to update people on the ideas progress. 2) I need to prove there is some sort of interest to potential investors and 3) To give me constant feedback when I start shaping the products.

I hope thinks makes sense! Let me know your thoughts.

What about if a coil making service was added.

You get your box delivered by a professional, who coils the atty in the box :)
Wicks it perfectly
Fills it up for you

I’d sign up right now

A few top of the range juices, coiling and wicking service by an attractive female or male or both

Ok so,

You say add ons and accessories, can you go further in to that ?

Initially you say probably more for beginner vapers, what kind of accessories etc do you see being needed ?
Imho beginners need stock coils and juice and nothing else until they start looking at DIY’ing (negating need for your juice deliveries) or until they start building coils (negating need for monthly coils)

Advanced vapers need a lot of add ons and accessories however I don’t understand where you would get these from
Drip tips for example - there are no decent generic tips about which is why most people go custom - will you liaise with custom tip makers ? What stops us just getting made what we want and when ?
Other accessories - high end caps, Billet Box doors etc - again all custom made

What sort of add ons have you thought of that vapers will genuinely need every month ?

I buy a bag of cotton and it lasts me 6months +

So unless it’s one off purchases from custom places there is nothing I need every month except juice

Also, you mentioned waiting for deliveries
How would you get round this ? If I buy your monthly box and run out I still have to either wait for your box to arrive or buy extra from someone else

I cannot unfortunately see where the business here is or why I would use you over just ordering my favourite juice from my regular supplier

How would you stock all the juice recommended by everyone in the different strengths ? You would need trade accounts with almost every distro in the country

5yr + Vaper here just asking some of the things I’m finding confusing about this idea

I absolutely, positively believe I will get cheaper by shopping around - and more of what I want by selecting it. I don’t have any need for this service. Or rather, I hate the entire concept of this service.

A beginner needs a starter kit, coils, juice and advice - the last one coming from a person and not a box. What happens if they hate the juice? What happens if they burn the coil? What happens if they can’t work out why the mod switches off or why the batteries don’t recharge themselves?

We have had a number of box companies start up and In the end they all go to the wall. It’s a solution to an ill-defined problem that doesn’t exist in the first place.

Sure, they come up with fancy unique selling points, but they aren’t unique or genuine selling points. Invariably they ship out bum juice and overpriced extras.

Tag on the fact that the more you provide the greater the stockholding requirement, the more expensive the picking and packing arrangement, and the larger operating capital you need. With such constraints you need to be sending out hundreds of boxes a week, utilising a large workforce and sizeable warehousing.

And, if the range you are thinking of offering could fit in a bedroom and be run by a single person, what’s the point?

It’s not that this idea hasn’t been thought of - it’s been though of, laughed at and dismissed. In order for it to work you’d need the logistal set-up of something like Vape Club...a company that totally doesn’t want to offer this as a service.

But, whatever, good luck with what you decide.

I can yes to an extend. I have an idea about a mystery liquids, cleaning tools, maybe a menu for a specific supplier who is looking to promote. Again very early stuff and will change depending on what customers want.

Awsome questions. I'll try my best to answer

True true, but how many vapers actually look into the DIY side? A few, most, definelty something to need to find out.

Advanced vapers need a lot of add ons and accessories however I don’t understand where you would get these from

Its clear different segments of user require different things. Great point though.

What sort of add ons have you thought of that vapers will genuinely need every month ?

Its more about added something that customers will go 'Oh thats cool, look what i got". If that makes sense. Again up in the air.

the idea is that you wouldn't but again interesting point maybe its an area i need to iron out.

Thanks for this! Really useful
