Advice for more flavour

Thanks, I'm not ready for anything over complicated but I'm happy to play with a few settings.

I suppose my question in essence is, would a 0.8 ohm Z coil MTL with adjustable wattage, give me more depth of flavour than my 1.2 ohm with fixed power?

i won't say an absolute yes to that question, but it is very, very likely. A 0.8 ohm coil is likely to be run at slightly higher power settings which vaporises a little more juice, which tends to lead to more flavour. Having the ability to fine tune the wattage shouldn't be underestimated as some juices improve with a little more or less heat.

If you don't see much improvement, at least you'll have a back up device.

Thank you! I've been trying to research this and all the options have my head whirling. I don't want to keep throwing money at devices that open up even more options and still not get what I want. I'm trying to stay flexible though and get a mod that can do more than just one thing, which I can invest in later down the line.

I feel things would be much simpler with fruity flavours but it makes me think about smoking more

you certainly will get a brain fart when it comes to deciding on which kit to get.
the initial outlay on kit will hurt your wallet at first but the way i looked at it was i smoked for 37 years 20-30 a day and they went up in smoke with nothing to show for it at the end.
now i have over 50 kits with enough juice to fill a bathtub.

now let me make the decission even harder :) have a look at this https://www.planetofthevapes.co.uk/...and-gen-200-mod-kits-community-review.212207/

the majority of kits are interchangeable where they have 510 screw in connection for the tank so you could keep the sub ohm tank included for later down the road and buy a MTL tank to go on the mod. or just buy the mod on its own.

out of all the kits ive got i only use the basic wattage mode. dont change any settings as happy at 50watts chuging on my custards.
im a bit out of touch with latest kits so hopefully others will give other options.

Imo the .8 innokin z coil is miles better than a 1.2 or 1.6,so you could try them,or buy the voopoo argus 40w pod mod kit, tons of flavour with their 1.0 or 1.2 pnp coils.

The recommended wattages for the 0.8ohm is 14-17w and 10-14w for the 1.2ohm so the Go pen fixed wattage is a tad low for the 0.8 coil so should give better flavour on a variable wattage mod.

Thanks for all the advice, I managed to get a Gozee mod for just under £20 thanks to this sites discount codes. Looking forward to seeing how it goes. I'll definitely be back, this is a great place for advice, thanks again!

A bit late to the party I know Dan and hopefully you are now sorted. Just to say though that when I started vaping I was in the same boat as yourself, shitloads of liquids stashed everywhere and not one of them doing it for me. I first realised after a few months it was the tobacco flavour I was craving. A few of the manabush range were very nice indeed but again I still felt something lacking, I then delved into the gennisis tanks which took the flavour profile up a couple of notches. Combined with a good glass of wine or a tipple of the hard stuff there is nothing to beat it imo. For those that know me I was a Castle Long whore, and strangely enough, well not strangely as vaping really is all about experimenting to get the best out of a liquid, airflow, wattage, different tanks etc. I tried the Castle Long with the genny tanks but was not getting the flavour profiles associated with that liquid, I then stuck some in the trusty Kayfun, from memory I would have been around 1.1 - 1.2ohm with that setup, instantly the flavour just came to life. Yeh it can become frustrating that some liquids do not taste good, in a lot of cases that`s purely down to the liquid being fairly poor to start with, there`s also the fact a lot of folk just expect it to taste good straight away but it ain`t that simple sometimes.

Keep us updated, and if you got any Castle you need to offload hit me up :D
