Advice for more flavour

A bit late to the party I know Dan and hopefully you are now sorted. Just to say though that when I started vaping I was in the same boat as yourself, shitloads of liquids stashed everywhere and not one of them doing it for me. I first realised after a few months it was the tobacco flavour I was craving. A few of the manabush range were very nice indeed but again I still felt something lacking, I then delved into the gennisis tanks which took the flavour profile up a couple of notches. Combined with a good glass of wine or a tipple of the hard stuff there is nothing to beat it imo. For those that know me I was a Castle Long whore, and strangely enough, well not strangely as vaping really is all about experimenting to get the best out of a liquid, airflow, wattage, different tanks etc. I tried the Castle Long with the genny tanks but was not getting the flavour profiles associated with that liquid, I then stuck some in the trusty Kayfun, from memory I would have been around 1.1 - 1.2ohm with that setup, instantly the flavour just came to life. Yeh it can become frustrating that some liquids do not taste good, in a lot of cases that`s purely down to the liquid being fairly poor to start with, there`s also the fact a lot of folk just expect it to taste good straight away but it ain`t that simple sometimes.

Well firstly it is never too late! And also it seems that my kit buying may never end either, got my little mod and it will keep me going a while but I'm already thinking about tanks and coils. Everything seems to open a new avenue to explore...I'm really not sure this is cheaper than smoking!

But yes, you echoed my feelings exactly, I thought all these wonderful complex flavours in layers would come bursting out the tank but everything I've tried is ok but my socks have stayed firmly on my feet. I've figured it's mostly about wicking and how liquid gets sucked up between toots. I'm used to fag breaks and my poor coil doesn't absorb fast enough like a ciggie. That first hit after its sat a few hours, that's what I want every time!

Unfortunately for you Castle long is probably my favourite so far. I love the aftertaste and it leaves me needing more. I know I've not found its sweet spot yet and I sometimes drop a touch of coffee in it to deepen it. I'm messing around with creamy tobacco and vanilla at the minute, just mixing stuff up. Waiting, calculating how long before I vould get away with another package turning up at the door.

Never ending it is Dan , I made a post in here a few years back but think it got lost when the site was changed. and that was the best flavour and throat hit was the first few pulls in the morning, especially in the winter when the atty was cold. Have you tried any of the liquids from HOL yet? Not cheap but fucking tasty, I spent a long time searching and trying various spin-offs of the Castle Long but nothing ever came close to it imho.

No I've not even heard of those! I'll be sure to take a look though. So far I've been rotating and mixing crow black, black panther, castle long, vampire 1961, manabush coyote, dinner lady cafe tobacco, bread of heaven.

My only whiff have been a few straight tobaccos which have no flavour at all and deja voodoo which is supposedly coconut husk but I've no idea what a coconut husk is or what it should taste of. But it's not coconut! I'm hoping it's mostly down to my set up and I might extract some more flavour out of them as I accrue more bits and bobs.

Is it easy to get the best out of them with a starter kit? I have a real simple tank and a few different coils and wouldn't want to waste an expensive liquid.

Think I might take a punt on a few HOL for crimbo as a special treat. And maybe one of those fancy new zlide top tanks.

I found that you have to forget about the pocket and find what suits your taste, after all the buds want what the buds want.
IMO you`re doing the right thing trialing till you find the sweet spot, I found that the starter kits etc didn`t do it for me and I nearly gave in and 10ish years on I`m still finding tweeks that are making vaping more satisfying. The important thing is to persist and not go back to the ciggies, you will find a set up and maybe a rotation of juices that are just what you`re looking for - but beware, that`s when the shinyitis strikes.

I'm actually shocked at how little I want a cigarette. I think there have been literally 2 moments in almost a month but I wasn't actually tempted, just a fleeting thought. All the options of vaping are keeping me going well and that was exactly what I didn't like the idea of as a smoker.

I'm currently liking quite creamy vanilla flavours and I had no clue that's what I'd want. There are so, so many liquids I want to try now. I have a mod that's capable of 60W now so I'm trying to avoid looking for shiny things for now and keep it simple. I'm glad to know you guys are still interested and learning. It seems I won't ever get bored. Bankrupt maybe but never bored!

well if your liking creamy vanilla so i guess custard then after a almost 8 year search and hundreds upon hundreds tried i can highly recommend my top 3. all vaped at 40-50watts.

ive tried quite a lot of deserts like lemon tart, cheesecakes, eton mess etc which are ok but for some reason i cant vape them much. custards on the other hand im getting through around 50ml a day since being in lockdown (which is still ongoing) and then fruits maybe 5ml a day and backy hit 1-2ml a day.
