Hi Guys,

Been looking a PoTV for a while now but only just decided to register.

I wonder if anyone can advise me please. I have been vaping for about 8 months using a an Ego/CE4 combo purchased from Mirage in Nuneaton. I recently bought a Kamry K100 together with 10 EVOD's & 10 CE4's from Ebay. I have a range of flavours (1.8mg) from a range of suppliers.

Just recently I have been getting a burning sensation that has been hurting my throat. I have changed the tank both EVOD & CE4 a number of times now but it doesn't help. I was just sat at work with my Kamry & it was really beginning to become uncomfortable so I have just switched my CE4 from the Kamry to the EGO & all is fine.

Can anyone give me any ideas what is happening, where I am going wrong & what I need to do to sort it out. I really do like my Kamry but I can't go on with it like this. The strange thing is that the Kamry has been fine for about a month & the problem has really only arisen in the last 10 days or so.

Is there perhaps a certain tank/Kamry combo that I should be looking to use? I go abroad for a 3 weeks in about a months time & I need to take my vaping supplies with me so I really need to get everything sorted by then.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

I would say if all is well with the ego is it possible that the kamry is pushing too much power through the coil and burning the wick ? I'm new though so maybe wrong

Have you ever changed the coil heads in your clearomizers? Although I'm not sure that you can with ce4's as they're a disposable product.

It sounds to me like the coils are burning. You will more than likely get the issue from a freshly charged battery.

The kamry k100 is a mechanical mod and has no circuit board and so a freshly charged battery will mean that you're vaping at 4.2 volts until the battery drains a bit.

With the ego, it has a little circuit board which regulates the voltage so you get a constant 3.7 volts which will explain why everything is fine with that battery.

As above really
Your ego will be putting out a regulated voltage of 3.3v where as your kamry with a fresh battery will output around 4.2v
I would either recoil my evod heads to a higher resistance or buy new heads of higher resistance. Do you know the ohms of the heads you have currently? If so we could recommend what resistance to go for.

That does sound feasible mate. I am confident it is power related.

I am wondering how other Kamry users have got round this problem. I love it but if it is going to start to taste vile & rip my throat to shreds then it is no good.

These are the ones that I bought:

bnut to be honest I favour the CE4 because I found the EVODs a bit messy & found that I was wasting a lot of juice with them. The one thing I like about the Kamry is that it has a decent battery that last for ages.

I, personally, wouldn't use clearomizers on a mechanical mod. If it was me I'd have a rebuildable dripper on it.

Rebuildable dripper? You've lost me there mate ......... I've never heard of them. I like something that is low maintenance & doesn't leak, which is why the CE4 fits the bill for me. Perhaps I am destined to put the Kamry to the back of my junk drawer & get a 2nd EGO.
