Hi , I need some advice, I am looking at upgrading some gear in March(so starting research early)I already have several mech mods, a vamo v5 and a mvp v2, some rebuildables orchid and russian, what I am looking for is a more powerful box type mod, I like the mvp for carrying round nice size fits pockets but feel its a tad under powered , I know that the mvp 3 is out soon with 30 watts of grunt and the eleaf istick and its clones are about 20 watt,I really like the look of the innokin vtr but again its only 15 watts , is there anything else I should be considering. I am not a cloud chaser so 100 watts may be too much , I just want to get the best from my juices and atties . Any mod builders I should be looking at? or could some one up the power on a vtr? change the chip or something like that, looking to spend £60ish but may go higher for the perfect one any advice will be gratefully received either on the boards or by pm . Would I be best to buy a u/s one and get a modder to refurb with higher watts.

Cheers

Researching lately, and with similar requirements... the Sigelei 100 Plus is getting a lot of positive reviews; worth considering, reputed to be a well made mod

Just seen the dovpo dt50 that looks sweet and has got plenty of useful features, has anyone got one ? whats it like to live with?

I don't know it, I'm afraid; saw it on FT, looked a bit sharp-cornered and not heard of the brand, so moved on - no good reason for rejection, though. I've got an MVP2 (since May - still going good as new); a DNA30 clone (from FT; broke within 4 months); and a Cloupor T6 (doesn't fire at claimed 100w except in exceptional circumstances; if switched off, needs battery re-inserted to switch on again). From this experience, I've concluded it's sensible to go for a mod which is widely reviewed and widely regarded as reliable by folk on here more knowledgeabe than I, such as RagingMammoth.

This was surprising to see, didn't really see myself as a knowledgeable member really. That's a big compliment.

The problem is with Cloupor, is they seem to be very unreliable as a company. Even if you look past the exploding Cana's, there is many other issues with their mods and business practices.

The Cana simply doesn't put out what it says it does. They prompted customers to update one of their mods (T5 I think) and it bricked the device. Instead of refunding the consumers, they told them to buy a T6 instead. Also as you said yourself, the T6 doesn't do what it says it does either.

There are things coming out like the Istick that seem to be fairly reliable mods, cheap as well. A friend of mine did a big spreadsheet on one, but I won't share it here without asking first. The Smok X pro50 looks decent I guess, and products that use Evolv chips are always reliable. Although expensive, they warrant the price. The Yihi chips are okay, but the 50w variant of it I found was highly unreliable at reading ohms. I had a IPV2 and a Sigelei 50w at one point, both of them changed ohms rapidly. Not fun at higher wattages.

I've got the m50 and it's really pretty good imo. No pass-through is my only real gripe. That and having to remove 4 screws to change the battery if you don't want to charge it through usb. I reckon a load of cheap, single 18650 50w box mods are going to hit the market soon so take your time OP would be my advice. By March things will have changed.

SMOK XPRO M50 --- 50W BLACK & GREY - ANGELFIREMODS

I'm thinking of this, pretty sure it's a V2 of the one you have.
