Aga-t wick problems

Hi all
After receiving my free aga-t from Andy. I have taken the first steps into re-buildable attys
So after watching a vid from Tom i started. Made the coil not to bad tested at 2 omhs so far so good
Primed the wick with juice plooms of vapour, thinking to myself this is easy.
This is where the problems start filled the tank and wet the wick again after a couple of toots the wick runs dry
I have use 1 2mm wick and tried with 2 2mm still will not wick properly
What have I done wrong. Do you have to prepare the wick
Any advice

Silica or mesh wick
Here's my silica set up 3mm

Note how the coil tales/legs are the same side of each post to keep it in the center, the negative wire is clamped inbetween the top of the post and the screw

It can take a couple of ml of juice to get the wick working fully, there is a small breaking in period
