Ta. Can't lie, I was stoked because I'm an old bastard and I've never driven anything in my life with more ccs than a push bike. That sounds painful and annoying...dare I ask how you broke it? On a Vulcan 900 and I would fking love to tazz it around the Loire Valley! I've only been through it on a bus, but even that was great, really beautiful and just perfect for a ride. Is the speed limit strictly enforced then? I had a notion it might be in theory only, once you got out of the main towns.
I haven't broken it, but I've blown 3 discs. Partly through wear and tear from being a chef, and probably partly to do with arthritis.

Definitely give the Loire Valley a whizz. They don't seem to check up on speed limits on the country roads so much and you can see what's coming for miles. So long as you're not completely stupid it's fine.

That must be tough, I'm sorry to hear that. We're moving to Cadiz for a year next autumn and I'd like to drive my bike over at some point, so I might well be going that way.

Sorry dad, I'll shut up now :)

So anywho, our cherry tree is going ok. Its the white cherry type, I prefer the red ones to be honest. The black birds and crows have been gorging themselves on them. Im seeing cherry pips everywhere! They are very sociable birds though and dont mind me talking to them as they eat the cherries.

Nah, the white ones are best. On flying away they said "so long and thanks for all the cherries".

Crows are intelligent birds.
The whole family uses, and makes, tools.
They’re truly fascinating creatures.

They are and here are the only bird we see on country road roadsides that never get hit by cars or trucks. We see everything from magpies to parrots, every other bird hit. But never a crow, they are off of the road before you even get near them. Too clever.
