What's new

An outpouring

Peter, the past is the past, we have all had our own nightmares concerning Cigs etc and now all you need to do is just look to an exciting future. I have had more fun and made some great friends since joining the vaping world, enjoy yourself and never look back.:hugs:

Welcome fella, and again I could associate with you 100%. You feel so alone at the start of that journey, routines have to be changed to accomodate the cravings at certain times of the day. PoTV was the way I overcome feeling alone, and now you are in the ecstatic phase, thinking its the best discovery in the world, and you want to share that message with everyone you know.

I bought loads of starter kits for friends and family, and then realised it was me who wanted them to convert, and not necessarily them, and as a result they all started to revert back to stinkies, one by one. Its best just to continue as you are, and let them come to you and ask about switching, which trust me they will, and that is when you give them support and encouragement.

Well done, and by christ you have just started out on what is a life changing journey, I can promise you lots of ups and some downs but just remember you are never alone, we are here to share your joys and support when things get tough :)

Nothing to add to the other eloquent replies other than congrats on the switch and welcome to POTV :)

Ladies and gentlemen

Where to begin? Hi, I guess. I'm Peter, I'm 39 and I have a beautiful son, a lovely missus, great friends, loving family and am generally a happy person.

The one thing that has cast a shadow over my whole life was smoking. My parents didn't smoke and no-one I knew at school smoked, but I started at sixth form and smoked 20 a day from then. When I think back to all of the misery it caused me over the years I literally feel like crying. The deceit in front of my parents (I've been horrible to them over the years because of my cravings), the person it made me (anxious, stressed, where's my next fag coming from?!!), the cost, the health, all of it. How stupid of me.

Tried everything over the years to give up - patches, that book, gums, lozenges, therapy, even hypnotherapy. Nothing worked.

e-cigs have saved my life.

I'm welling up writing this, which isn't very manly, but frankly I don't care. I don't care if someone stares in a pub when I draw on my e-cig. I don't care about the gentle ribbing from my friends, I don't care about, well, anything.

I don't think I'm alone in all of this and the attitude of people on this forum reassures me that that is the case.

Anyway, it's great to get this off my (now wonderful) chest and I hope I can be a good forum member, helping campaign against the EU nonsense, boycotts of Wetherspoons and McDonald's, etc. but I just wanted to say thanks to the guys and girls on here giving time and energy to help out. You've literally been lifesavers.

Peter

well said buddy:2thumbsup:
