The protruding cotton is normal with that tank, just looked up a few reviews. What do you mean by couldn't get a draw? Very tight draw or just not firing?

You could have a faulty coil, your airflow could have been fully closed (if it has adjustable) or your liquids may be too thick for said tank.

Thanks for reply Toastie . Yes it was a very tight draw. Where would the adjustable airflow be ? On the coil ? Don't see any option on the battery ? Yeah I'm wondering about the liquid as using Gold and Silver 70PG 30VG 75% mixed with RY4 70PG 30PG 25% which has toffee and sugar in , which sounds ,well, sticky.
Didn't know that certain liquids won't work. Something else to be aware of. Thanks.
I've just ordered some 1.8ohms coils for it. Might it help if I trimmed the cotton wool. Also thinking of mixing some vanilla in with the G&S just to take the roughness off the Tobacco flavour and thinking that'd be less sticky than the RY4

congratz on the 10 days so far.
there sure is a lot to take in and its a whole new language but you will pick it up quite quickly.
and most importantly is no question is a silly question when it comes to vape so never be afraid to ask. weve saved a few faces being blown of in the past.

i dont know this kit so cant help much there but im thinking 70vg is way too thick for a 2ohm coil and even the 1.8ohm coils will struggle big time and burn out very quick.

high ohm coils like the ones you have are best with 50vg/50pg juice
its been a long time but as far as i can remember 1.2ohm coils can handle 70vg just.

the easiest way to remember it is the higher the number coil
the higer the nicotine which can be used
the thinner the juice needs to be
the lower the wattage/voltage

thicker juice like 70vg is best with higher wattage subtanks which are direct to lung inhale tanks (like a bong if you ever dabbled) with lower ohm coils like 0.7, 0.5, 0.25, 0.2ohm and used at much higher wattage average 40-100watts but these ned much lower nicotine and the norm is 3mg.

Agreed squire. The MVP is very old kit indeed, but it looks as if its working for Tom. Unfortunately the more mainstream Vaping becomes the more unscrupulous sellers will arise. Always been a dark side to the community unfortunately.

However, @Tom ex Rollies you could upgrade to another far more responsive and reliable setup for sub £15. A setup that old was geared towards a time when e juice was pretty much water in its viscosity - what you've got will be thicker, hence its most likely struggling.
Ecigone and Grey Haze both have numerous options. Holla of you need a hand finding them and well done on your first 10 days. [emoji106]
