What's new

Another new member

Hello there.
This isn't my first post - my second, actually - but I'd like to introduce myself by saying that after giving up smoking 10 years ago I've always craved nicotine and despite having promised myself and my other half never to smoke again (which I've kept) my ears pricked when I became aware of these devices. Almost a month ago I thought I'd give it a try and I'm loving it despite a guilty pang at first, which I'm over now as I'm sticking to my promise while enjoying a whole new form of indulgence. Could this be my middle age crises? Haha

I feel like that too. Went out for few pints on xmas eve & late in the evening i pinched one of my mates rollies , it was disgusting ! Only a drunk fool would try this , yeuch. I ditched it after two or three drags & went back to my e-cig. I still had no choice though about WHERE i went to vape & had to go to the outdoor smoking area with all the smokers. Haha, some of them look at me funny !!!!
Honestly though i can't stand tobacco smoke smell any more but i don't want to come across to my mates as a hypocrite as they all smoke.

Now that I've come over to the light, I've found that there are so many tastier, safer and cheaper ways to satisfy my cravings which are also reducing! But I've definitely started noticing smokers more often by their smell and it makes me wonder about the judgements I must have received when I smoked :/

Oh well, I must smell of Sumptuous Strawberry now so I'm on the up and up!

Well we do notice it more now but it's not like we were unaware before, we just were not bothered & to be honest i think there's too much emphasis put on the smell of cigs. To ex smokers its just what we were told to expect & to anti smokers it's just another tool in their stupid little box of tricks.

I have always liked the smell of smoke and even the taste of cigarettes. So it doesn't really bother me. But since I stopped the stinkies, I notice how many people smoke in London. Can't walk anywhere without walking through a cloud of smoke somewhere. At the moment, as I am in the early stages of kicking the stinkies, it annoys me, as it occasionally causes a craving for a fag. But its getting less, I am sure in a couple of months I will be fine about it.

Hey guys. Yes, it's weird in that I wouldn't mind sharing smoky air with my mates or colleagues but up 'till a point. Then it becomes too much. What i always missed was the nice calming feeling nicotine did to me. Especially after meals. And whenever I want to have a think. Also, throughout the non smoking years I've always had ups and downs. Nicotine smoothes things out. Keeps me chilled and relaxed. Love it.
It's funny how in a short amount of time, since getting my ego battery with a ce4 clearo, I first got an EVOD, then a DCT Cartotank, and now a Vamo v5. I'm definitely a vv/VW carto guy. IMHO nothing vapes better than a Cartomiser. I don't get the whole thing of sub ohm coils and running mech mods' batteries that hard. I usually vape between 5-6 watts with my cartos and that's enough. Anything more and it tastes burnt/harsh and @ 5-6 watts there's plenty of vape.. I hear about people Vaping at 10 or 20 watts... Huh? I'd like to give dripping a try. Any good and cheap rebuildable and non rebuildable attys recommended?

Thanks. Also, could anyone clue me up on posting? I've seen (generally other noobs to POTV) post replies to threads described as 'old' and or 'dead' by more experienced members and politely rebuked as such.. Is that really a no no? Isn't anything further added to an old thread of any further use? And how old can threads last before they 'expire'?
