I'm pretty sure the answer is yes, but would like to check with you guys before I go spending cash on new batteries that is better spent elsewhere!

I've got 2x 18650 batts(no nipples) for my lavatube, they used to last for roughly a full day of vapeing at 5v, but lately one lasts for 10 hours or so while the other is only lasting 3-4 hours. When fresh from the charger the LT does read them both at 4.2 on the battery status screen, so they are fully charged, but they seem to be dieing very rapidly.

Is that a sign these batts are close to the end of their lives and I need new ones? Or is there something else going on here?

I recently gave my sister my remaining 4 Panasonics - although I didn`t measure the time they were lasting, I have noticed a distinct drop off in performance...

I knew it was "going" to happen, but was alittle taken aback when it actually started to ;)

A few months old, not used every day but rotated between the others that fit in different things...so I just came to the conclusion they were on the way out.

I only gave them to my sister as she is a light vaper in comparison and would get a decent run from them in their current condition...if it was just me I`d run them until they became noticeably annoying, then dispose.

How long have you had them and have they been charged frequently...can you work it out and see that way if they`ve had their fair share of charges and are due to start failing ?

Are those the flat red lavatube batts? Theyre shit lol ours died after 4 months

It's these ones here: http://www.mojurepublic.com/products/18650-High-Drain-Rechargeable-Batteries-%282%29.html

I got them with the LT when I bought it off someone few months back after my ego's died on me. Probably had it myself for 2-3 months now, and I believe it was at least 5 months old when I got it, so I suppose the batts have had a good run. First time I've used such large batts so not sure what the warnings are when they die off, I know smaller AAA and AA ones fade and then go kaput, while some of the D cells just work and work then die out of nowhere!

With 2 November birthdays to fund and then Christmas right around the corner it's an expensive time of year, so could do without throwing money away on batts unless I need to, so just trying to figure out if these might have life left in them still, or if they are likely to just give up in the very near future. :)

Fad not sure how heavy they were used before I got them, but I've been cycling between the 2 batts for 2-3 months, 1 was lasting roughly 20 hours before needing charging, so they were getting from flat to charged every other day.

Do those have the nipple on them? I've got a 18650 batt around somewhere with the nipple and it won't fit the LT, but other then specifying "no nipple" I have no clue how that is described on batteries haha. Is it possible to get those batts without a nipple at 3000mah capacity that will fit a LT?

*Starting to feel like a complete noob again!*

Yes it fits the LT just fine.

Also the bigger 18650 2800 mah fit, just with a few threads showing. But done get the blue 3.7 batteries. 4.8-5.6 are the best.

I found the LT very fussy about batteries and ended up just using the Panasonics in them and not worrying about it...although some others do fit with an O-ring fitted to the LT battery cap....I`ve the Senybor 2800s but they`re wayy to long for anything LOL

and yes, it does sound as though you need some new ones :)

I use the Ultrafire 18650 3000mha and they have lasted me 6 months+ with daily use. Fully charged they show 4.1v, which is down from what they were new, but still last a decent amount of time. Only thing is they do leave a thread or two showing - but then I'm not a fussy man !!
