Are we Wrong to Lockdown?

mmm, seems a bit like “fuck having a lockdown, let’s just lock old people in the house indefinitely does the rest of us can get on with normality”.

If you are worried just stop in your bunker [emoji108]

What age defines someone as old though?

65, in scotland. at least that’s the age you start getting sent to “older people’s services”. but that’s the point, it’s not a cut off point for inevitable death once you hit a certain age. people in their 20s have died of it. people over 65 have survived. there are many factors.

I'm personally not concerned if i catch it. doesn't mean i won't get sick, or have a bad time of it (hopefully vaping helps on that front!) but i know i won't die or probably need hospital treatment. Still take the measures advised and act like a good little englishman short of grassing people up.
I don't mean this personally but this mentality is delusional.

I’ve briefly looked at this thread am I right in saying that this crisis is age related to do with the old

Sorry no I see it everyday it’s real it’s everyone

Don’t suffer a cardiac-related event in Northants. The beds are full, there is zero capacity due to every one being occupied with a Covid patient. The patients span age groups, all of them have Covid symptoms and the diagnosis is that the illness has exacerbated a heart condition. You have a stroke, MI or even just a flutter you’re worried about? Tough.

This is the state across the hospitals, the Trust was at 98% last weekend.

It’s not just old people dying. It won’t just be old people dying.

Flu season is coming. The cold weather is coming. Both of these accelerate admissions during normal times. Meanwhile, no beds.

There's the reality.... Thanks for sharing m8.

Yes older age affected from Covid-19 but I think lower immunity people are not able to overcome from this bad situation. So It is need to plan and care of those people

I posted this as a discussion point rather than a theory hence the lack of posting on my front. If you disagree then you disagree.

Interesting data though.

There are as much as 1000 less deaths a week for the past month.

Respiratory deaths have decreased significantly this year since covid 19

Add all the mystery missing figures up and perhaps the official tally of covid-19 deaths is much less than the tally? You could be talking at minimum 6-7 thousand less , not taking into account data from Alzheimer's and dementia which we won't know until next year.
