mmm, seems a bit like “fuck having a lockdown, let’s just lock old people in the house indefinitely does the rest of us can get on with normality”.

What age defines someone as old though?
I don't mean this personally but this mentality is delusional.I'm personally not concerned if i catch it. doesn't mean i won't get sick, or have a bad time of it (hopefully vaping helps on that front!) but i know i won't die or probably need hospital treatment. Still take the measures advised and act like a good little englishman short of grassing people up.
Don’t suffer a cardiac-related event in Northants. The beds are full, there is zero capacity due to every one being occupied with a Covid patient. The patients span age groups, all of them have Covid symptoms and the diagnosis is that the illness has exacerbated a heart condition. You have a stroke, MI or even just a flutter you’re worried about? Tough.
This is the state across the hospitals, the Trust was at 98% last weekend.
It’s not just old people dying. It won’t just be old people dying.
Flu season is coming. The cold weather is coming. Both of these accelerate admissions during normal times. Meanwhile, no beds.
