Are You Having The Booster ?

Wife got a message to have her forth covid jab next week at the Doctors.
thats the second person now that said they are getting it at their gp's.
gp's around here had nothing to do with offering the third jab so about time they got their act together.

@TP 72 has your wife also been sent a pcr test as a backup or received any info letter about one on its way. not exactly sure if its for all on 4th dose or just imuno supressed but ive heard jack shit so far and everyone in the uk should have received a letter by the latest of the 10th so yesterday. ok could be the post backlog again.
also 119 were no good as they said their nhs computer system does not have an option for booking a 4th jab. advised to take letter to walk in centre. that is if i had received a ruddy letter.

Yes she did receive a pcr test a few weeks ago, she often gets letters from NHS about precautions she should take being immuno suppressed. The text message she received said it’s been ninety one days since your last jab so come down to surgery to have your forth one. Our local surgery isn’t doing them we have to go to a bigger one which is part of the group of surgery’s.

i got the same message from my doctor but have refused the offer.
The choice is yours to make, but a lot of different diseases have nearly been eradicated through immunisation throughout history but if you don’t want it that’s entirely your decision.

got consultant appt in an hour so will see if he can sort it out.

well today has been fun.
rhumatology appt face to face for first time in 2 years.
asked about the 4th jab and told yes i need it. explained i had still not received any paperwork about it and no pcr backup test. told to go have chat to vacination centre that was on next floor up.
they said yes you can have 4th jab but will need the letter. went back to docs and he had gone to lunch so rang gp when i got home. they said just go to any walk in centre and explain its your 4th jab and they will do it without a letter.
phoned one of the walk in centres to check and they said yes we can do it but you need the letter.
back to fookin square one.

Unfortunately you’re on what I called the NHS merry go round I was there a while back. Not my proudest moment but I ended up shouting at someone but it got things done. Back on track again your Doctor has your records as it’s all computerised, my wife has just got to turn up and get the forth jab nothing about any letter. It’s a bloody nightmare what your having and there really is no need for it. Good luck with it all mate.

oh hang on. its got to be 91 days and had the last one 18th october so they might turn me away anyway arghh!
