Berserker MTL RTA help

quick update 2.

Hammered the thing in isopropyl alcohol. then washed in soapy water/rinsed. no metallic taste. flavour seems to be better. ill follow up tomorrow with an update but am currently in a better mood with it, and have reduced the "going out the window" level to "window closed, but ready to stand up and open at any moment"

also, gotta thank all you guys for the help so far, its been soothing. and i shouldnt have left it so long to ask!.

I am watching this thread with interest as I am in a similar boat. Nothing seems to be better that my Nautilus X for flavour but I feel MTL RTA's should be.

It's a personal thing and dependent on how you draw, what liquids you use and all the other stuff. A while back a mate of mine needed a new tank and came round and tried every tank I owned .... which was a lot at the time, RTA's, stock coil tanks and all sorts, he must have tried 20 different tanks.

The Nautilus x was his favourite and now he owns 2 of them and that's all he uses. He thinks they are the best tanks he's ever tried/owned including my favourites. :)

I would defo try and get the notion out of your head that RTA's should be better for flavour, people say it a lot but that's only their experience with what they've used. When I did my 'top five tanks' list, I put my Vika Fantasy at number two and that with a nautilus coil in is still as good as anything I've tried for flavour and vape experience. the only reason it isnt #1 is because my corolla's are cheaper to run.

Hi @Johniom

I had the same issue with the Berserker mini
What I have done was(thanks for the Ft forum) removed both of the orings from the top cap and from top of the chimney
Since then my mini behaves as it should

You are right of course, I suppose I am a stock coil MTL type of guy. I wish I wasn't as I love playing with and rebuilding tanks but having tried:
the beserker - huge leaks from O rings even after replacement ones
beserker mini - no leaks but lacking the punchy flavour I was expecting
Siren 2 - my favourite, leak proof and reasonable flavour
Doggystyle clone - On the naughty shelf as I can't build on it with my fat sausage fingers
Kayfun Prime clone - Cannot build this without it dumping all the juice in 2 seconds flat
Nautilus mini - excellent flavour but gurgles and spits like the wife on the lash
Nautilus X - My gold standard mtl tank I just wish I could get a tighter airflow
Beserker RDA which sits on my squonker and its great.

One good thing is I never throw away or sell any vape kit. I will try them again in 6 months and having learnt more may have more success.

Leaky tanks are the pits, I can't deal with that. :D

All this Beserker talk drove me to give my mini another go. Took out all orings and washed everything. Used a thinner wick, with the 0.7 Ohm Clapton coil it came with.

My lightning fast reflexes avoided me loosing the positive terminal screw down the sink (the instant look of horror on my face I'm sure caused the screw to shoot upwards, following the curvature of the sink, and fall inches away from the toilet bowl). :)

It vapes a lot better now with good flavour.

This stock coil runs too hot for my liking though, I'll probably like it better with higher resistance, that'll be for next time. I wonder if the larger Beserker would be better though.

Hi get your wattage right..the 1.2 ohm coil that came with should be nice @ 10-11 watts or 4.2 ish volts...
Will keep watching as this tanks on my to buy list..

I thought the same, I didn't think was was enough airflow for those clapton coils ...
