Think i know what everyones answer is gonna be here but its worth a punt as im finding my feet still. Im on squid ink this fine eve (even if arsenal did lose). Im running at 9 watts and 4.5 volts using an evod on my vamo. I preempt its personal preference but it would be good to get any advice on this and to see what others are running at.

I think I know the problem here, it gets most new vapers - even me, You can run in either Volts or watts mode not both, have a look at the VV / Vw section in the wiki for all the details but running on watts mode is best, and most people start around 7w and fiddle about until they find what suits them...

I tended to vape around 7 to 8.5 watts on the vamo but it's down to different juices some burn easier than others.. just play around with the wattage and you will find your personal sweet spot

so im getting this right, its one or the other not both that you adjust. i was thinking you set both?

use the wattage mode it does the calculations on the ohmage of the atty and watts requested and it gives the correct amount of voltage for you ..

easier for the beginner

now i see, i did look in the wiki but once again the rum and not wearing glasses ( just as new to them as vaping ) has made me look a doughnut

Lol, welcome To Planet Krispy Kreme. I'm an engineer dealing with electronics and it took me a whole day before I realised that one setting was overiding the other. If you use the volts setting you have to look up your coil resistance and then find a suitable voltage range. If you use Watts mode you just set the power level and vape... Far easier, and more reliable...:grin2:

so whats the deal with the ohms, im using 2.4 at the mo but when buying the evods there were also 1.8 was it? whats the difference and which is better... dont tell me personal preference.lol

If you have a mechanical mod (Just battery and switch no adjustments) then lower ohms will give more vapour, so to change the amount of vapour or avoid a burnt taste you change the coils resistance, for you with a VV/VW Mod then 1.8 is a good bet. Lower ohms on VV Units will give better battery life, but beware of the limits on your mod, most wont accept coils below about 1.5 ohms...
