I'm reasonably new to vaping (8 months or so) and being a stay ay home dad (read unemployed) cost is a major factor in my vaping equipment. I have been using an Aerotank with a vv evod but more recently I came into possession of a Vamo V5 (thanks Mum and Dad) and even more recently a Kraken clone which I won on this forum (thanks beivape for the awesome comp and commiserations to those who didn't win) my wife has also taken up vaping and has the Innokin iTaste clk 1280 with the Gladius. I have re wicked some coils for the Aerotank and I'm sure I will be doing the same for my wife in the near future. My questions are,

1, Which wire would be the best for making my own coils for the Aerotank and Gladius and would I be able to use the same wire to make coils for the Kraken.

2, With the Kraken do the ohm's double if I use it with a dual coil setup or if I make two 1ohm coils does that make the resistance 2 ohms.

3, If I bought some extension tubes for the vamo could I stack two 18650 battery's

May the coils burn ever in your favour.

Not sure about 1 and 3 as I'm fairly new too, but the answer to 2 is that by going dual coil the resistance is halved, not doubled

HTH

2) your ohms half ie two 2 ohm = 1 ohm

3) I wouldn't

1) .28 is handy although I use .25 .32 .20

Get some 0.25 mm, thats small enough to be used in the Kanger heads, but big enough to be used in an RBA or RDA

If resources are limited, you can get away with "one size does for all" ie 32 awg (0.20mm). With that your have the option of twisting two, or more strands together to make thicker/lower resistance wire, but you can't make thick wire thinner!

Mmmm, triple twisted....

I have successfully used 0.3 for both kanger coils and in my dripper.

1. 28 awg kanthal. I think crazy wire company do the best on price, but could be wrong.

2. As above, you divide by two for two coils.

3. Don't stack!

Thanks guys, the prices @crazy wire company seem a lot cheaper than most £1.90 for 10 metres is a lot cheaper than I've seen anywhere else. And question 3 was mainly because I wanted a mod that looked like a lightsaber, but not something that'll take my hand off.

Checkout the Seven30, or if you want to really crazy, you can get the eHuge with an extension and stack 26650's.
