BMJ poll - should we follow New York and ban ecigs in public?

286 votes say no
40 say yes

Should we ban asprin / paracetamol / vitamins etc as thats self medicating

I joined so I could read the entire article, glad I did as they refer to having "monitored social networking sites" where they saw our tweets demanding no ecig ban and yet they still conclude the article with...

What about industry influence from bigP? This is far more disturbing than anything the tobacco industry is doing, as its influence reaches politicians, the medical profession and media- most (well, some) of whom would stop short of being manipulated by bigT

I had no option to vote "go fuck spiders you interfering, corrupt, ethically challenged, dim witted bastards!"

So I settled for no.

94.65% say no.

I wonder if the result will be publicised in the media?

Just think of the headline.. "94% reject ban on vaping in public in recent BMJ poll".

This poll will probably be hurriedly buried and iirc, this isn't the first time the BMJ has put up a poll about vaping that hasn't had they result they were probably hoping for.

The people that the BMJ represents are supposed to have reasons for opposing the use of e-cigarettes based on provable medical research so why are they running a public opinion poll on the use of them?
