What's new

Bonjour from Glasgow. Need a bit of help using this I think

@EmbraSewerRat I went along to vape frog on Dumbarton road today guy was helpful and showed me some kit I could get. He mentioned the Goon? I just want something easy enough to start off with and possibly something that ain’t gonna cost me a bomb at first lol. Emporium liquid was one callled Blue Moon. (blueberry Menthol) good at thne start but flavour disappeared quickly and it felt as if it ruined the coil it was made there and then so not sure. I’m heading to Glasgow tomorrow anyway so will try out a shop see if they have these Demon Coils and maybe pick up a RDA at the same time lol .

Herself likes her Goon and they are much rated by folks. Just the clamp system can be a bit of a pest to learn on if you're just kicking off with coiling.

Worth having a search for a Velocity V1 atty, you can pick up a reasonable clone for a couple of quid. Great atty to learn installing coils and despite being over 2 years old still a finest kind vape!

Not many shops selling RDAs, TPD regs and all that jazz. For sure Vaporized and Emporium won't be.

I will second what @EmbraSewerRat said above @ChicoBenito1 There are pretty much no high street vape shops selling RDA’s. He also backed up the Velocity RDA I mentioned in a previous comment. I have one but it is a clone but good anyway. I am sure the original Velocity is no longer made either so clones are probably the only ones you could get hold off but that isn’t a bad thing.

The Goon has a slightly awkward clamp system and @EmbraSewerRat is right, it’s probably not the best deck to learn on. As with a lot of RDA’s, the originals are usually quite pricey. My Apocalypse RDA cost me a fortune but I knew what I was getting (I bought a clone first to try it) and I have been building on RDA’s for a few years.

Sorry @ChicoBenito1 I forgot to say about the pre made coils. Personally, for the money, they are good buy.

They will help you learn how to position coils properly on the deck and get them glowing from the inside out. I must admit, I learnt with wire first before I started using pre made coils. I use them mainly for convenience and you can get some ‘exotic’ coils too.

Building on RDA’s is a challenge but for me, it’s a rewarding one.

Thanks man yeah the guy was sayin about clamping n stuff like that but me not having much of a clue wasn’t helping! So clone? Does that mean a fake version of the original? I tried to look on vaporised website but the didn’t have anything any reason why shops don’t sell them if they really are better than plain coils? Will have a look into the velocity then Marc if it’s maybe a bit better for a newbie, the guy in the shop was showing me one for £25 can’t remember what it was called but he said it was good and one of the newer ones and he backed you up on the demon coils said they are good if your not building your own etc. Thanks for that link will look at that just now

Yeah, a clone is 'replica' of the original. The original Velocity was over £100 when it came out, and you could get a clone of it for about £10-15. Quality can be an issue but a good brand for clones is Tobeco. That is the one I have and it has been a decent RDA. It has now been retired though.

Vaporized don't sell RDA's anymore. They haven't for a while now. They distanced themselves from them due to various reasons I was told.

Pick yourself up a Velocity clone from the link above. It's definitely worth a go. Personally I don't think you will look at a tank in the same way once you start using RDA's and the Velocity is a good place to start.

I have put a link for the Demon Killer Coils above. £9.99 is a decent price for 48 coils. And don't forget your cotton. Get yourself some good cotton pads for wick. I would have said Koh Gen Do pads but prices are high. I have put a link below for MUJI pads which are just as good.

Prime Vapor, the vapour lounge and vape city all sell RDA's

I can confirm this as I was in all three of them today.

@ChicoBenito1 I would recommend looking at a Druga RDA as it's the first one I bought... quite high sides on it so allows for newbie over dripping... 2 post design and quite a bit of space in it.

Should point out prime Vapor sell the Druga for about £20

@Marc_Ohms I tried out Prime Vapor today and bought an RDA, twisted messes.

Thought since it was a cheaper buy I can give it a shot and mess about with it see if it’s for me. It came with two pre built coils so I’ve put them in and it seems to be working okay, with the RDA is it a constant drip making sure it’s always got juice on them? Seems as if I’ve used a lot since I got it lol. Flavour is amazing then dies down a tad after a few hits. I think maybe the coils it comes with aren’t the greatest and may need to get better ones.

I don’t want to give up just yet and head back to the baby beast lol. P.s I was going to get the druga and velocity but this one was the cheaper option to basically see if I’m going to like it or not.
I ended up buying wick from them as well Bacon stuff seems to do the job but might need to buy these demon coils and see if they are any better.
